All I was referring to was the RSJ and kenny hill incidents and a couple of our top targets have downplayed us as front runners. We've had better weeks this off-season.

nothing about RBs. I believe the question was what the staff was thinking of chigbu and he just straight up said he was #1 on our board

ah, well he also made a comment I know that Kyler was the only QB on the board. This is also what I was told.

I'm also skeptical of the Chigbu info. The guy he (likely) got this from was in the room with the board but they ask people not to stare at it (so it's just random glances).

Also I know they treat WRs differently (as fans, we group them by WR, but the coaches are looking for guys to fill roles). My best guess based on how that was told to me is that Chigbu is the #1 for his role. He didn't even know who was #2.

well my first question was I thought we were taking 2 QBs. No answer to that or anything else.

Yeah, im not comfortable with that plan... We really should try for 2 quarterbacks in this class, imo....

I wouldn't be concerned just yet. If Kyler commits we should be good. I think their is a decent chance we could get in on Stidham if we needed to.

Stidham is in a pretty good spot that would be difficult to uproot because TT only has Davis Webb right now when it comes to QBs on scholarship. I mean a lot of people laugh at the notion of Kingsbury possibly playing in their spring game but theyre pretty thin at QB, no joke

But Ive always liked Stidham. I lived temporarily in Stephenville when I worked at a dairy plant there and watched a few games, followed the team. Theyre just real tough, well coached bunch of country boys who really develop and stay competitive it seems like on a yearly basis. It would be a real coup to pry that kid away.

this really is an awesome article. Beware though as it's really long
quote:

The bag men associated with certain schools pay potential signees one-time bonus payments not to visit a rival school that's offered a scholarship. The going rate is stated to be $2,500. This has become a popular tactic in recent years, as the recruiting process has become more publicized.

hmmm...which school does this make me think of
quote:

It's also how lame duck coaching staffs are created. If a majority of bag men want a particular coach out and an A.D. or president won't make a move, they'll just dry up funds.
bye Mack
