Composite 5* CB Kendall Sheffield from Fort Bend Marshall was at practice today. We're supposedly way out in front and he actually sent a message to Taylor Hamm excited that Anderson committed. He may be next.

Things can change of course. Players get up or down on schools for a variety of reasons, but yes, right now he's pretty much all A&M. His parents won't let him commit til after this season and he's making public statements saying he's neutral. But behind the scenes he's supposedly out and out recruiting for A&M.

Sheffield is in Austin today but isn't going to stay for their practice (not sure why...maybe the drive home is too long). He'll be back in College Station this weekend.

Has anyone noticed how the predictions are on 247...that Texas is cleaning it up for 2015? I know there 14 class is weak and 15 is REALLY early, but I'm worried for two reasons. One...if JFF is ineligible we're not going to have as strong of a season and two I believe Texas is going to have a decent record this year in the Big Whatever due to the lack of quality teams. Thoughts anybody?

And for those out there...I troll (i.e. look) everyday on this site and TexAgs...never posted on TexAgs and obviously don't post much here. I'm class of 92. One of the old guys...but have enjoyed the shite spewing on the Rant. Wish we had more contributions from folks in the know on this recruiting site. Can't stand the stupidity on the Zoo from many of the posters.

So far the only player they've taken that we really wanted was Teuhema but we didn't want him bad enough to offer his brother too. The rest may end up being good evals on their part but they really aren't the elite can't miss prospects. Don't confuse quantity with quality. Texas has already offered more 2015 in-state kids than A&M has extended in the 2014 class. Btw, consider that 247 only has 2 of their 8 rated in the top 30 in the state and they've only rated 46 guys in total (all of their commits have now been rated).
They may end up having an excellent class but so far nothing has happened to do any damage to us. But either way, our 2015 class is going to be fine.

I find it hilarious that they have done this at least twice now in the last two classes when they used to talk so much crap about us doing this to sign guys like Martellus, whose brother ended up being just as good.
