Tony's people and some Bama boosters probably did reach a number ... Some promises may or may not have been made ... They weren't kept... What have we learned from all this... Bama needs to stay the frick out of South Panola unless they want to get burned again.

Back on topic:

Simmons was frickin everywhere yesterday... MS Dlinemen set up shop in the Alabama Allstars' backfield all day.

You either have an active imagination or are extremely gullible.

Whether we made an offer or not, I don't know. I'm not naive enough to think we're squeaky clean (even though we shouldn't have to do too much right now). I actually agree with most of your post, though. This kind of thing happens from time to time. To pretend like it didn't here, though, is laughable.

This OM spin story on Connor is a new one to me, though. I've honestly not heard it before.

So Connor's recruitment was clean, huh?

Fans. Psychologists would have a field day studying how an otherwise rational person becomes completely irrational when defending their sports team.

Heck, several AU people to this day think they didn't pay Cam Newton. That is honestly one of the most incredible things I've ever heard of in my life. So don't feel bad. You're not alone.

For the record, I agree. Simmons is a beast. So is Quinnen Williams for AL (most underrated DL recruit in the country, and very close to Simmons as a player). I actually think Simmons will be more productive in college wherever he goes than Nkemdiche.

MSU has put all their eggs in the AJ Brown/Nigel Knott basket at this point... This 2016 class might be a huge catastrophe for their coaching staff cause the Bama mods really like where they stand with both prospects.

I texted a buddy just now and said that we were getting Simmons, Knott and Brown. Does that count?

Probably brown and maybe Knott. Simmons is heading to Oxford.

Would love to have Brown but understand why he'll likely end up at Bama. Not sold on Knott at all. He has elite speed but is pencil thin and the times I saw him go up against "elite" competition he was burnt like toast. Simmons is a beast and hope we do get.

I'm friends with Hatcher and some of Simmons' kinfolk. He's heading to Grambling to follow his big cousin's footsteps.

If MSU gets Brown is their class, to them, considered a success? If they do not get this one player, is their class considered a complete failure? Never have I seen a class so contingent on one player that that one player determines a success or failure for a recruiting class.
