The new Aggie QB is the highest QB A&M has ever recruited. A&M has also rarely recruited nationally. This is a West Coast guy looking at ND, Buckeyes etc... This is a recruiting gamechanger for A&M. Will take them a while to get depth of the LSUs and Bammers especially on D - but it seems the SEC plus JFF has put A&M, always considered a sleeping giant under the RC praise mediocrity years - into a potential power.
Getting the #1 Pro QB from the West Coast to come to college station over anywhere.

They will be on par with LSU, Bama, UF, UGA in 10 years. 5 if Sumlin stays for that long.

I dunno. People smarter than me recruited this guy. He's a pro style guy in an offense that hums with a dual threat QB.

LSU and Bama are legit. But I swear I wouldn't trade our next 4 years for either of y'alls straight up right now.

I see it that way as well. But if they keep taking the jewels from Texas and OU and start grabbing National Players - you never know. As an Ag and Tiger I tell my Aggie friends that A&M has to prove to recruit DL and Corners that are ready to go - and if they are not then get them ready to go. Because they will leave as juniors and you cant have down years. You must have the young D to step in ready - year after year. They save the O on bad days.
I think the O will be very good. OL, RBs, WRS and now QBS are lining up.
Can A&M get the depth. The roster must be tight. I dont know yet. But I think Ags will be in the hunt alot.
You cant underestimate what the West coast #1 coming to college station means. A&M has never had that exposure.

Jobu. There will never be another Johnny. They offense isnt designed for Johnny - it just adapted. Gaining the best Pro Style QB in the nation over ND, tOSU et al... That is huge. A&M will need to recruit and play SEC ball ultimately. Scramblers usually get arse pounded in SEC. JFF is just a freak of nature.

This is the issue, you think by snagging them before OU and Texas does anything. You are not in the Big 12. frick Texas and OU. You don't have to compete with them anymore. You on a whole new playing field now.

Johnny fricking Football was only a 3*, same with Case Keenum, the all-time NCAA leader.
