I always want LSU to be good so it was not meant as troll. 18 players to the NFL draft in the last two years is a tall order to replace - but, maybe the new blood (and they always get the talent) is just what the doctor ordered.

A lot of the guys (on TD) are saying 2015 but UA having a new QB and OC, we beat AU last year, UGA, Mizzou and SCar having new QB's, UF still has to prove they can have an offense with a pulse...I figure we have just as much a shot in 2014 as everyone else, that's all.

Ole Miss might prove me wrong, but I think it will be in the West.

New QB
New WRs
New RB

All will be tough for Cam to overcome without running the ball 55 times a game

As it has been since 2007 it's a three team race between LSU, bama, and AU. These three will probably go 1-1 against each other so then it becomes a guessing game of who loses a game that they shouldn't. LSU is obviously the most likely to do this based on recent history. I think AU's luck from last year has run out and they lose one out of state, OM, and UGA.

I get that, but AU was a different/better team by the end of the year. Now Gus has another year with practically the same offense.

IMO, Auburn should be the preseason favorite and it really isn't close at the moment.

Only on the tRant does a missed FG equal a win in a tie game.

I'm expecting something like that through first 5 games. By the AU game though we really need to have a balanced O for a shot at ATL, imo.

If Your life and the life of your family was at stake, and you had to pick the 2014 SEC champion to survive, every poster on this forum would choose Alabama..and that's the truth.....admit or not! ....now let's see who's an idiot or a liar.

Nailed it. If you are being honest with yourself, Bama is the smart statistical pick. Saban is a proven winner and the best coach in the country. Couple that with multiple #1 recruiting classes and you have the safe pick. That being said, it is college football and anything can happen. Nobody saw Auburn coming last year.

I agree - this is pre-season and AU has the least amount of ?'s in the pre-season. They've got plenty of talent and damn near the whole offense back.

While they are the most relented team Saban has only won the division once in the last four years, so, actually, they aren't the smart choice, statistically speaking.

LSU loses the top 2 and 4 of the top 5. Dural is all-SEC caliber and 2 talented incoming freshman will have to grow up fast.

Travin Durel was the third best receiver and we get him back. But we also lost Boone who was a contributor. Wright was talented but didn't get the ball much. It remains to be seen who will step up. Dupree will be a factor.
