In all seriousness basketball is a sport which, due to the higher number and frequency of games combined with the expanded number of teams at the "higher" levels, draws less media attention at any one time compared to football.
Unless your your school is really good or is a "basketball" school, most fans don't take the time to pay close attention to every game because no individual matchup is as big until March. Football games in he south are a weekend event, basketball games are a two-three hour show.

Baseball is just a perfect fit for me.
College baseball is the perfect contrast to football season I think. It's intense but still relaxing, not like the manic football weekends in the fall.

The SEC has been the strongest conference, top to bottom, in football and baseball. I would love to see it in basketball too. UK and Florida are already established. I think Haith and Cuonzo can easily get their teams in the mix. I think A&M basketball gets overlooked. They're solid.

i like georgia basketball more than i like georgia football. mostly because i just like college basketball and the sport of basketball better in general. it's really tough to enjoy it fully though at uga, because there is never anyone to talk to about it and no one else cares. people that say they care dont and dont know a god damn thing about the team.

To be fair, we don't have a lot of Florida posters.
There arent many UF posters here but we get excited about our BBall program, we had elite 8 trips the last 2 years, look forward to this years season.
Still trying to figure out what happened to our leader in posts, roadgator

I love LSU basketball but I generally expect us not to do well, so I don't get passionate and talk a lot about it.

Why do Missouri fans dislike college baseball and make their apathy toward the sport apparent in all related threads?

Porker, you should hook up with Roger Klarvin, the Mizzou obsession would keep you two together forever resulting in lots of hot man love between the two of you.
I think it's probably what you both have been looking for throughout your life's journeys.

Because we come from a conference without a lot of baseball history (the Texas schools added some when the Big 8 expanded to the Big 12), limited historical success in the sport, two MLB franchises within 120 miles of campus, poor baseball facilities, weather not as aptly suited for Spring baseball as parts of the deep South and West, lack of financial investment in the sport from the A.D., the list goes on...
ETA: I think this will start to change now that we're in the SEC.

We were solid from 2005-2011. Now we have guy with Parkinsons trying to convince recruits to come play for him. Our team this year has NINE new scholorship players.

You are really, really obsessed with gay sex. This is your fourth post about it in the last 48 hours.
Kinda creepy.
