IIRC, there's only 13 Space, Sea, & Land grant universities. I doubt community colleges fall in that grouping.

LSU was also the only public university with 2 Truman Scholars last year. However, carry on

Well who wants to go live in a fake world being watched by people 24/7?

There's very little difference in the quality of education any of these schools provide. State schools are state schools. It's a matter of the difference in the student body and not the professors.

It's just funny because none of the three are really worth bragging about on their own but having all three makes your school great somehow? Congrats I guess.

I thought it was an entertaining nonsensical non-sequitur.

That simply isn't the case.
My career is higher ed.
I deal with this stuff daily.
Trust me--there's an enormous range on that list, in terms of quality.

EXACTLY. It really depends on the field of study more than the actual school.

And you don't think it's an issue of who went there and not who taught them?

so...I'm from Arkansas, so I'm a little slow, but you tell me which is better, assuming in general most Georgia grads work in Georgia and most Arkansas grads work in Arkansas?

A Georgia degree which you pay $10,262/yr for and a mid-career salary of $79,400/yr

OR

An Arkansas degree which I pay $7,818/yr for and a mid-career salary of $83,600/yr

are you Georgia grads still calculating the answer?

According to Academic Rankings of World Universities. I'm including ranked SEC schools & a few peer schools that are well-known (for comparison purposes). These rankings have been consistent with several other ranking services such as Forbes, QSTU, Times Higher Education but are quite different than what US News comes up with.

I find a few things interesting. How come Alabama is ranked so highly on US News Rankings but unranked on here? Why does US News hate LSU?

35. Vanderbilt

43. Florida

Grouping 53-67:
Emory
Texas A&M University
University of Georgia

University of Iowa
University Virginia

Grouping 68-85:
Darmouth
Florida State University
George Mason University
University Tennessee

Grouping 86-108
Louisiana State University
The George Washington University
Unniversity of Connecticut
University of Kentucky
University of Missouri

University of Nebraksa
University of Notre Dame

Grouping 109-131:
Clemson University
Georgetown University
Tulane University
University of Oklahoma
University of South Carolina

Grouping: 132-149:
Auburn University
Southern Methodist University
Texas Tech University
University of Alaska
University Arkansas

Not Ranked
University of Alabama - Tuscaloosa
University of Mississippi
Mississippi State University

That ranking is not entirely garbage, just mostly garbage. Ridiculous
