Wow. Picking Scar's DEs as the best AND Scar to finished first. Bold. Unexpected. Unusual.

Will be the first to admit I have orange and blue bottle glasses on...but I strongly feel UF is in the catbirds seat this year...everyone always predicts how well a team will perform based the previous year. UF will sneak up on folks and lay the hammer down hard. The only weak spot right now is depth at OL where we six very good OL and possibly seven. Injuries have to be avoided.
The offense will be efficient and surprise folks and make it easier for the defense to pass rush with a lead. Our LB corp is one of the top five in the country right now and isn't getting recognition because of our record and injuries to the LBs.
Boom is fierce and emotional ...he hates to lose and will have the team put in 110% effort. UF also has advantage in schedule playing LSU, Mizzou, UK, USC at home plus UGA in Jax. Vandy, Bama & UT are road games.

Can't disagree with any of this. I think there are at least 4, maybe 5, contenders, and there are a lot of factors at play - injuries, schedule, match-ups and luck to name a few.

I see where you picked Mizzou to win the East, picked Mizzou to have the finest QB in the league, the finest DEs in the league, the finest LBs in the league, etc.

That is true..however it was the first start in the guy's career, on the road against our biggest rival, with a depleted injury core and a shitty defense. Hopefully that's not the case this year!

So UGA gets discredited for winning a game our vs. rival but UF gets the benefit of the doubt after Southern.

You missed his point. he was saying just because one 5th year starting QB failed does not mean they all will...DJ Shockley was a first time starting 5th year QB and he led us to a SEC Championship.

I don't think Georgia fans think he will blow up the SEC, or even be one of the top QBs. We don't think he will, nor do we think he needs to be. The supporting cast around him will carry the load. We just need him to be average.

I think Florida will have an excellent year, too. They will sneak up on some teams because they take them lightly...and then they will just flat out beat some other teams because Florida has a very good team.
