how long til they realize A&M in the SEC is a serious detriment to their program

They'll never admit that.
Seriously. Ever.
Pride goeth before the fall, and they'll take the fall each time, if the option is acknowledging success at Texas A&M University.

So. Much. Hubris.

They have to try something, they are at a long term disadvantage with A&M in the SEC.

Kiffin is too immature to be a HC is my point and I don't think any amount of coaching experience under Saban will change that. I'm sure Lane would love to be the HC at UT. The thing with me is his most ideal scenario he could have ever had...his dream job was the one at USC...and he fell flat on his face. He can't manage the job that is req'd to be the HC at that place.

You know that, we know that but they will never admit that we have any advantage over them.

Could anyone survive those sanctions he had at USC? They are still using them as an excuse for a poor season this year.

How bad were those sanctions? I personally felt they got a slap on the wrist considering what they deserved.

Try politics & cash to work a deal for A&M to go somewhere with them (B1G or something)?

We ain't going nowhere. Sorry. So forget all of that.

Unless y'all let THEM in. Then maybe 4 or 5 or 10 of us will leave eventually.

Tremendous strategic blunder not to go after Briles once Saban was a no. Briles at Texas...that would be something.

I've felt for the last couple years that Briles would be the guy after the guy after Mack. The timing wasn't right when Brown stepped down. Baylor just made a huge commitment in building that stadium and giving Briles a fat extension. Without a long term commit from Briles the stadium doesn't get done

Now we'll see how this transfer sexual assault conviction plays out. If it dies out and everyone goes back to not caring Briles could definitely be in play. If that lingers and more evidence comes out that Briles and staff turned a blind eye and there are more player arrests issues and Briles is forced out at Baylor, he might pop back up in D2 somewhere kinda like Petrino taking a lesser job.

I hate to mention these guys because they'd probably be good for Texas and I don't want anything good for Texas.

Too true. And it's usually a coonass bringing them up. Coincidence I'm certain.

As has been said it IS difficult to just let it lie.

Without looking them up, they were down to 55 scholarship players his last two years, this is their first year where they are finally starting to build numbers.

If Bama wins the natty this year, Kiffin will be a hot commodity. Kiffin would be an excellent hire for UT.

The only UT that'll be calling Kiffin is the Viles after they can Butch at the end of the year.

Looks like little has changed for the horns, they gonna be restless and looking if this is another bust season

You fire a really well-respected coach after two years following a decade long Mack Brown run and I don't think it's going to be easy to find a replacement.
