Um, no it isn't.

As I clearly indicated, I don't judge pro and college rivalries the same way. College isn't in the same league, but it has a much more dominant impact on local areas and regions than almost any pro rivalry, especially a cross country one that consumes very few people.

Very few people live and die with the Boston/LA rivalry. As in, almost none. It has no political impact, no regional/geographical relevance, and in modern times, it has simply become a nice side story for an event that would be quite popular independent of the history.

One of the best in our conference? Of course.
One of the best in college sports? Sure.
One of the best in the world regardless of sport? lol
The most repulsive and comical to outside observers? #1

I fail to see where anything I said is untrue, or really, even arguable.

I'll be around if you want to try and defend your ridiculous notions. Considering you're likely just bitter that you took an indefensible position, I'll just hang out while you consider to intellectually puss out.

I cannot believe you just typed that.

And I root for neither Boston nor LA.

You TAMU kids sure do push a lot of one liners while weaseling out of discussion. Alright by me, I just find it a strange coincidence.

I forgot about that time California and Massachusetts got into a legislative dispute over basketball.

Because nationally, it isn't as relevant. The most important and nationally relevant Iron Bowl ever happened yesterday. It still didn't have as good of ratings as Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, or even Texas A&M/Alabama this year.

Literally everything you're suggesting is untrue, and it's almost laughable how off base you are. How old are you? Where do you live? Did you go to Alabama?

It isn't a strange coincidence, it's just that people care about their teams, and your idea of national relevance is stupid. #1 Alabama vs. #4 Auburn. The most important Iron Bowl ever. Still didn't have as many eye balls as Texas A&M/Alabama this year. That's what you don't get.

Seriously, are you slow? I don't want to offend, but I don't want to keep at it with someone that has a legitimate issue.

National interest doesn't define relevancy nor greatest rivalry. It is used primarily in pro rivalries because we have nothing else. Quite simply, pro rivalries don't invoke the same passion on the same scale, as a general rule. Thus, we're looking toward the overall impact on the country in lieu of a really huge, concentrated impact.
