No Southern fan is traveling father than New Orleans to see their team play.
Please STFU if you have no idea.

I thought the bad part of Baton Rouge was South Baton Rouge. At least that is what Boosie told me

That was clearly Georgia’s intent when it signed a contract to host Southern University and its famed marching band for Saturday’s game at Sanford Stadium. UGA has three contracts committing to host nonconference opponents this season — the others are Louisiana-Monroe and Georgia Southern — but only one mentions the visiting team’s band.
Written into Georgia’s contract with Southern is language stipulating that “the band of the visiting team agrees to perform at halftime of the game,” and it is set up that way for good reason…
…“Normally a stipulation for visiting band attendance is not included in game contracts,” Georgia spokesman Claude Felton said. “However, the Southern University band is nationally known for its performing excellence and will provide a unique entertainment experience for our fans.”

LSU has historically refused to play them in football.
It makes zero sense for LSU to play Southern in football. Both of the schools are in the same city, so you wouldn't be getting many alumni to come to town, stay in hotels and eat at nice restaurants. That would be a case of people driving down from North Baton Rouge, going to the game, then hitting a fast food joint on the way out of campus. Shoot, you would be taking away from economic bump of Southern having a home game.
Now basketball, baseball, etc. That makes sense. Southern has had some strong basketball and baseball teams in the recent past, so the games are competitive. Shoot, I would be OK with LSU and SU having home and home games with each other. Southern would get a bump from having LSU fans come to their campus to see a game, it exposes both fan bases to each other's campuses.
