BTW, speaking of Band, the LSUAD is in "Deep Doo Doo" with the LSU Nation for not allowing the Auburn Band to perform at half-time of the game Saturday...

Stay tuned because something is brewing here...........

Great info - thanks for the update.

It is REALLY good to hear this.

Your AD should get a major fine and be forced to issue a public apology by the SEC office

No reason for SEC schools to be sticking each other in the eye over this kind of bullshite

I am a honky cracka snowflake. And I'm not believing this thread.

When I was seven years old, my family moved down from New Jersey and my Dad was a football purist. He told me "son, there are two great football teams in this city" and he explained to me why. He then took me to a Southern game. I have casually pulled for them ever since. I never realized I wasn't supposed to like them (wtf).

As an adult, and an LSU grad, I have many clients that are Southern grads. They sure don't deserve the lazy generalizations thrown at them in this thread. Damn man.

Lol no he isn't. I'm glad their band didn't get to perform. frick Auburn's band. They're second only to Alabama's in terms of fgt-try.

BS. They go to Jackson, Atlanta, and Houston all the time. They aren't going to Athens to see their team lose by 70 like most non-Georgia FCS fanbases.

I hope the ones making these borderline racist comments are not college graduates.

SU's fans are amazing..the best in the SWAC. They are in the top 10 as far as FCS fan bases go.

with all that being said I predict a score of UGA-65 SU-10

Dude stop. The both of you sound like jackass. Southern has a very nice community. They will travel well because they alway do. I believe the SWAC leads the FCS in game attendance. They packed LA Tech Stadium, they packed ULL stadium twice. They will bring an decent amount to Athens.

OK, OK

I apologize for my jackass statement

I can't tell if this is just rolling or general dumbassery!

To the folks in Georgia, the Battle of the Bands is held in the Georgia Dome in ATL. Pretty sure Southern has been but I am a Jackson State fan and they are in Mississippi. Here they are practicing which is kind of cool LINK

Most of these bands work damn hard and they are way more fun to watch than some Bucknuts band that has an orgasm when a single tuba player dots the "i". Christ on a cracker, some of you act like you have never been to a step show much less set foot on a historic black campus. This is not the 1800's people.

The university spends 6-700 k and the community is lucky to recover 1/3 of it. It's just not a good business decision.

Not sure on the payouts, but if that one win gets you to a bigger bowl game, could get a sizeable chunk. But then again it cost schools money to send the teams to bowl games.

Used to live in GA and I'm surprised that GA tech is the only other FBS school.

All teams have some shady fans. The other state teams have been playing Southern for the last few years, and for all intents and purposes they report good experiences

You'll need to post the link showing those statistics are worse than any other big event weekend in NOLA

LSU doesn't want anything to do with that.

I'm sure LSU is proud to have you as its spokesman.

GA State should move down to FCS.

I would love to see Young Harris College get a team.

You can't be serious...lol...
Check the f'n crime statistics in N.O. any day of the year. It's not the Southern or Grambling fans traveling to the games that commit the crimes here...it's the local thugs in this city that come out for the party and start shite...just like it is any other day of the year. I live here, I know... Don't go trashing Southern fans because it's not them... Period!

Why? They moved from FCS to FBS in 2012. Although they are arguably the worst FBS team in the country.
