I don't think they could find 22 students who could pass a drug test.

Which would explain why my little bro said he would go there if they had a football team

Ping Pong-If you have paid any attention LSU is located in the "hood" also. And if you look around I'm sure you will notice that half the players or more playing college football at least in the power 5 conferences come from the "hood".

And 3/4 of them shouldn't be getting into power 5 schools, thank god for football and handing out grades.

You can't be serious...lol...
Check the f'n crime statistics in N.O. any day of the year. It's not the Southern or Grambling fans traveling to the games that commit the crimes here...it's the local thugs in this city that come out for the party and start shite...just like it is any other day of the year. I live here, I know... Don't go trashing Southern fans because it's not them... Period!

Thank you. Years ago I went to the State Fair Classic between Grambling and Prairie View in Dallas and the fans were great, no crimes, no fighting, etc. Been to the OU vs Texas game in Dallas, yes there were fights, drunks, etc.

The fans that travel to far away SWAC games are usually your older alumni, boosters, donors, etc.

Oh and on a side note, been to Bayou Classic and LSU vs Bama game BCS game. More fights on Bourbon between Bama and LSU fans. Didn't see any violence from Southern/Grambling fans(not talking about local NOLA thugs) fans/students/alum that TRAVELED.

From someone on the inside of the university, uga is paying $650k for the game, tries to buy out to schedule someone else and offered $500k to not play...

That $150K was to much to turn down.

I'm talking about the college athletes(football players) from the Hood and bad schools. You know it's the truth. Especially in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Chubb should have over 400 yards in this one.

An HBCU in Baton Rouge,LA. Football team is terrible. Band is awesome.

They have had a dynasty in the SWAC in the past. But they have struggled this decade.

Southern and Grambling have one of the nations most historical rivalries. The Bayou Classic half time show is a must watch, battle of the bands.

School is located on some of the most beautiful real estate in Baton Rouge that most people not from the Urban community will never see. SU is set on "The Bluffs," overlooking the bend in the Mississippi River as it turns to run by Baton Rouge.

Not So Fun Fact (that's more than a little sad): The beautiful downtown lakes were built-that's right they were all man made-near LSU by Huey Long as a way to prevent an HBCU "separate but equal," from being built across the street from LSU. IIRC FSU and FAMU have a setup like that. Instead, Kingfish had the Bluffs land donated for Southern.

But he shouldn't. Jokes like that shouldn't be made. So if you would like to show how much of an arse or laugh at the other asses stupid, borderline racist jokes, go right ahead.

Go play in traffic while your at it.

Good ole Mumford Stadium. That place was hell for visiting teams in the 90's and early 2000s.

The Jaguar nation has calmed down quite a bit but they still have a very strong home field advantage.

Just look at all the stabbing and shootings going on in this pic

The Southern Band, (Aka the "Human Jukebox") is very entertaining and UGA fans will enjoy them IF they make the trip to Athens.

At one point, you had to pay the Southern Band Foundation and additional amount for them to make an away game.

The floor was $50,000 per game. My alma mater paid their band foundation $50,000 for a one day bus trip.

Just to be clear, UGA can name their score against this team. I watched the Louisiana Tech vs. Southern game a few weeks ago, and Southern looked like a high school team. It was the worst game I've ever seen. Jeff Driskel left the game leading the country in passer efficiency. He only played the first half. Driskel would throw a 3 yard screen to the receiver, and the receiver would run in a straight line untouched for 60 yards. UGA could use this game to get Chubb any rushing record it wants.

The halftime show was cool, though.

wow, the amount of thin-skinned self-righteous political correctness in this thread

Get over yourselves, it's football and trash talk. We love to pick on the gay milkmen of A&M, the toothless hillbillies of Kentucky, the white-trash meth heads from Mizzou, the inbred Gumps, the goofy cowbell-ringing hicks in beautiful Starkville, etc.

Southern is a historically black college with low admission and graduation standards in a depressed, crime-ridden section of BR (which itself is depressed and crime-ridden). It is what it is. Some advice- quit being so thin-skinned and whining about racism, and start firing some jabs back. Tell 'em you're going to bring Lil Boosie and his crew to take over Athens or something

And- good luck. Hope you can represent well, maybe make a play or two.

Wow, you're the one being thin-skinned. Why don't you man up instead of being bothered by posters who are correctly identifying racist comments.

And since when does Georgia need to trash talk an FCS school? And to use racist trash talk to boot?

Racism only breeds more racism from the offended parties so its a good thing to call people out for stupid comments -- comments like yours.
