What Is Going On With Auburn?

I keep hearing people saying that there is dissension or some kind of underlying problem at Auburn. With the Yeldon decommit and Stoops turning the DC job down, is there something going on behind the scenes that is a bigger issue, or is this just normal stuff that will be rectified quickly?
Serious question. This is not a "bash Auburn" thread. But, it was all over sports talk radio in Montgomery on both the morning and lunch time shows and there were lots of comments that something is going wrong on the Plains. I'm wanting to hear from Auburn fans as to their take on what is happening.

Yes it is not burning at all just imploding so all is good.

Kids decommit all the time. This will not be the last person this year to decommit from another school. As far as Stoops, it's my opinion that he was never leaving FSU for AU...it was a money grab. I had hoped he would though.

Is this just a lot of smoke? Are the Bammers piling on and making every little thing look big? Or, is there something bigger happening?

Neither of those are out of the ordinary. A bigtime recruit wavering from an early commitment happens alot. And I, for one, didn't expect Stoops to make a lateral move

I think its just a coincidence of a lot of bad news at once.
If there was some kind of underlying big "problem", we'd have heard rumblings about it by now from giddy ATPBers.

Thanks. If that is all it is, then it is another case of Alabama media and Bama fans fanning the flames to make it look worse than it is.
As a neutral party in this state, it is hard to separate rumor from fiction here. You never know who is behind what story or insinuation.

... no shite. I want a DC who's gonna be here for more than 1 year... we would've been in the same boat 12 months from now had we hired stoops... or at least his name would've been getting floated around, and we'd be in the same boat FSU is in now.
As for Yeldon... we got played... it happens. I find it funny this is being discussed on MSU pay-site.... we accomplished more in the last 16 months than they've accomplished in 100+ years of football.

I graduated in 77 and every year, the Bama Media say that Auburn is in trouble or the coach is leaving.. Just Bammers being Bammers...

Truth: Auburn has some challenges and has had a bad year since winning the NC... 7-5, loss to our biggest rivals, a RB that smoked some wacki tobacci (that happens at a lot of schools), a defensive coach who was allowed to have a soft landing, then you have Malzhan..lose you best recruit to Bama. Add it all up and the media has all it needs..
