1999- Josh Booty stopped on the 1 as time expires by Reggie Myles & Marvin Constant

Sad end to that play was the career-ending injury to Marvin Constant. He was a tad undersized but he was an excellent linebacker and hit like a brick.

Dont confuse 2011 Lee with 2009 Lee

Lee hasn't lead any 4thQ drives this season. Haven't really needed any in case you haven't noticed.

He did in 08, 09, and 10 though. But what does that matter. None of those games were against the all-mighty unbeatable mighty 09 crimson tahd, so they don't count.

yeah Jarrett Lee was all world in 08 & 09!!!! Best QB ever. If there was 1 quarterback who could lead a game winning drive it was him right?

2007 was my favorite game of all dispite the loss.

2008 was next...

I've been to the past 6 Bama/LSU games. This year, it looks like the streak comes to an end.

Marvin Constant was a BEAST. I dont care if he was undersized or not, he was incredible and if it weren't for that play he would have had a hell of a Bama and NFL career.

That play did save our season and got us into the SEC Championship game though if I remember correctly. So in a way we can thank Marvin Constant for the 1999 SEC Championship

In 1997 a very mediocre LSU squad gave Bama their worst loss in Tuscaloosa history 27-0

what a great game. nobody expected us to be in it. When Javier returned that punt I felt like Bryant Denny was about to collapse i've never seen it go that nuts

too bad we couldn't hold on JPW just melted under the pressure there at the end

Least was...

1) Shaun Alexander game

2) Bobby Humphrey game (1987?). I remember not being able to stop him. They were filming in the stadium for Everybody's All-American (about Billy Cannon) and wanted the crowd to cheer during the halftime filming, which irritated me more for some reason.

Best

Probably when Josh Booty actually beat Alabama in Baton Rouge for the first time in 8,000 years. That almost made up for the UAB loss.

blocked kick in 08 even though we lost, that was nuts.

And a Freshman. It was a terrible injury for a kid with a future in the NFL.

1986 LSU 14 Bama 10

25 years after the fact, I'm still not sure how LSU won that game.

speaking of Mediocre... Bama went 4-7 in 1997

I dont really even remember that game I've tried to block that entire season from my memory. But I remember the loss to La Tech the week before was much more painful

I just told you he did, moron.

08: Auburn, USCe
09: UGA

(this is the part where you compare those teams with the mighty 09 crimson tahd and how irrelevant it makes those come-back drives look)

It has and always will be painfully obvious that the only reason some of you are 100% positive there was no way Lee could have engineered a GW drive is just so you can downplay the god-awful call that took away the drive.

/hijack

One of my fav moments was Lee's 50+ yard pass to Randle last year to ice the game.

How can you not compare the teams when you use them as examples of Lee's brilliant abilities in 2008?

Auburn '08? You mean the team that won 3 games? Congratulations Mr Lee!! How did he not win the Heisman for that

You dont think its because Lee was the biggest laughing stock in college football at that point in time?

He'd thrown more TDs to the other team than he had to LSU WRs

It got so fricking loud after that. I knew we were gonna win after that.... Then Lee threw the pick and the crowd went silent

But you have to admit the call was blown. Hell, looking back it might not have even mattered, but it was a chance for a game winning drive taken away. And indirectly led to y'all scoring.

One of the great things about growing up a Bama fan was that every "even" numbered year you knew the Tide was gonna win. 96 and 98 stand out. Dubose trolled LSU

(well in the 90s anyway...BR was odd numbers before expansion)
