Can't say this made a difference
quote:

one other I forget the year, but we went into the game with a backup QB, our team was terrible, and we were poised for the win when a blatant Pass Interference is not called and results in an INT

And at the same time say the Peterson pick wouldn't have made a difference.

Neither road team would've won the game, and Brown flopped like Vlade Divac anyway.

I do have to mention '09 as the worst, but not because of the game. I was with my in-laws in the stadium, and when the people around me started booing when one of our guys went down, I told them they were "jerks" for doing so. I was told by some guy that if I didn't leave that it was going to get ugly. When I realized my FIL wasn't going to do anything, I excused myself from the game and proceeded to get ripped back at the tailgate, fuming. I watched the rest of the game on the t.v.

Then the PP7 incident happened and I lost it. When people came back to the tailgate I was cursing them calling them all cheaters ( ) and walked off. I don't even remember how I got back to the house that night.

It was a disappointing (in my married family) and embarrassing (in my drunken self) night.

I would think the 199 game where Josh Booty blows it and the clock runs out with LSU on the 1 would have been the least favorite of Tiger fans

I remember that, a bama player was hurt on the play and the clock should have been stopped. Bama packs thier bags and hauls arse to the dressing room. Leaving player on field. LSU should have had 1 more play. NOW THATS HOW IT HAPPENED

At least Alabama's past 3 NC's have come as perfect seasons. LSU literally lost to a true frosh QB at home in 03 and lost to Kentucky in 2007. Kentucky.

FWIW Alabama holds the SEC record for winning percentage over another SEC opponent against Kentucky.

nope

watch the clip i posted in the original post, it contradicts everything you just said

Booty had a guy wide open in the endzone, but with no timeouts he decided to try and run it in instead and got stuffed. Bama player is down, but Booty doesn't even make it back to the line before the clock runs out. Even Les Miles would laugh at that clock management

go to the 8 mintue 30 second mark

and nobody runs into the locker room, we had 3 guys around the injured player calling for the trainer. you need to re-watch the video, b/c you are suffering from selective memory disorder

its always a conspiracy with LSU fans

are there any games Alabama beat LSU that weren't a result of bad calls or officiating conspiracies ?

We deserved for the clock to run out because of his stupid mistake. But the ref standing over the player did wave his arms to stop the clock a few seconds prior to time expiring. You can't see it in your last clip, you only see a second ref with the ball running in to get the head ref's attention and signaling for it to stop. But during the original telecast they showed a different camera angle where you could clearly see it.

ETA: They did the right thing by pretending they didn't see it because we wouldn't have gotten another play off had he not been injured anyway.

They should have given you two trophies.

I wonder if you could fit that whole post on a t-shirt. Might need to clarify whatever the frick you were trying to say in the second part.

The pigs fly game, and 2005. 2005 reminds me of this year, in that Bama was 9-0 and, you know ...the best ever blah, blah, compairing them to 92' and such and then CLM sucked the life out of them in his first trip to BDS.

Best: 2007

Worst: 2009

As yes we could have scored and you damn sure don't "know" that we wouldn't have.

LSU had dropped a game already that year had they not?

I think Bama was ranked #3 at the time but we hadn't played well at all for the month leading up to the LSU game. We beat Ole Miss by 3, Tennessee 6-3, etc

We had no offense after Prothro went down in the Florida game, and we were winning games with our D and could only score like 10 points on offense. Still we wanted to believe we could run the table. We lost that OT game to LSU then got SKULL frickED by Auburn when they sacked Brodie like 40 times. That '05 team was kind of an illusion, and we were hanging onto a #3 ranking we really didn't deserve b/c our offense went to complete shite after Prothro went down

That Defense was sick though, if it weren't for the D we would have been a 6-6 team. Roman Harper, DeMeco Ryans, Mark Anderson, Charlie Peprah, Simeon Castille, Freddie Roach, Juwan Simpson... that D was NASTY and was the only reason we could even compete that year

U-mad? Talk about coming in from left field. At least I live in a state that doen't rank #1 in trailer homes per capita. Means about as much. Go call Pawl and gtfo of a good thread.

Favorite would be "Pigs Will Fly" game. Deuce gets shut down.Followed by the "first college replay" game and breaking the streak. I swear if the refs had fawked that up it I honestly think the crowd would've gone mexico soccer beat down on them.

Least favorite was PP no interception game or the Shaun Alexander gone off the charts game.

Favorite: Tie: 1993 when we beat Bama as 28 point dogs; and 1982 when we finally broke the >10 losing streak that began in the 70's.

Least favorite: 1998 hands down. Lifelong Tiger fan; in the band in 1969--last win in Tiger Stadium until 2000 because of that meltdown.

Honorable mention: 1999 in Tuscaloosa; sat in Tide Pride section with three other LSU fans and wondered if we would get out alive until the anticlimatic ending with Booty stopped at the goal line but two Bama players seriously injured so everyone sits there stunned. Completely deflated both sides--quietest stadium I have ever exited when the home team won.

it really was. I was at that game as well... very weird feeling after the clock ran out. Bama was falling apart there and it looked like LSU was gonna pull it out, we made the stop but lost 3 defensive starters to ACL injuries on that last drive. very odd ending, not any real celebration. I think we knew we got away with one plus we knew we just lost 3 of our better defenders for the year. very bittersweet feeling in the stadium

Yes 8-1

Bama #4 LSU #5

After that game Bama folded like a $4.00 lawn chair.

Yeah, I remember, "best ever Blah, Blah, Blah"
comparisons to 92'ect.
