Missouri was a great addition to the SEC. A huge accomplishment to win back to back division titles. However, until you win a modern day National Championship, you won't receive the respect you believe is deserved.

I don't think Mizzou fans are looking for Rant respect. However, I do think most would like more national respect and recognition. With that being said, the above quote I really can't disagree with.

At the least, Mizzou needs to win the SEC championship game to move the needle.

LOL. I love how South Carolina is elite and five of the SEC west teams aren't because it fits the narrative of teams Mizzou has a good or bad record against. Would love to see LSU fans mention South Carolina as elite (or that the SEC west sucks except for Auburn and Bama) in any other thread.

Some will trip all over themselves and their own logic and narrative to piss on Mizzou. Its quite entertaining.

Yes let's look at common opponents of LSU and Mizzou...

2012: We both lost to Florida and Bama. You beat South Carolina who we couldn't. And we sucked.

2013: We both beat A&M and Florida. We beat Georgia and Ole Miss who you couldn't. You beat auburn who we couldnt.

2014: We both beat Florida, Kentucky, A&M. We both lost to Bama and Georgia. We beat Arkansas who you couldn't. You didnt beat anyone we couldn't.

Wow you are quite the powerhouse.

With all due respect Missouri fans, you aren't going to get national respect after the last two seasons. It will take a long time to get respect since you have never won a national title and you haven't won a conference title since 1969.

First step is to do better in conference play against teams with a winning conference record, do better against the top teams in the league (Auburn, Bama, and the like).

Baby steps.

Welcome to the thread. We are now at 5 of 5.

Here is a pro tip for you, no Mizzou fans are looking for "respect" on tRant or nationally.

Sort of like when you used to run through the down years of the Big 8 and Oklahoma and beat overranked Colorado and Kansas and make national title games? Wow you beat Mizzou and Iowa State. Try beating an up OU or a quality Texas team. LOL.

Yeah, that is why you guys are always starting threads like these.

National respect will come when the media makes a mountain out of a mole hill like they do for programs like Alabama, USCw, etc.

I should have said the first step is not to lose to the likes of Indiana. Then the second step is what I stated above.

While I agree with ya bro on the Rant respect, I find quite a few Mizzou fans bitching about the lack of recognition on a national scale. Of course, this is just one guys pov, but I do hear it quite a bit.

Like you, I would like nothing more than to win a NC, or atleast a SECCG. It would of course put Mizzou big time on the map, and would do wonders for recruiting.

It's a shame how fricked up this thread got when it was a pretty harmless thread to begin with. Atleast that's my observation.

The fact you dont even understand the benign nature of the thread to begin with is EXACTLY what makes this place entertaining. You cant help yourself. Here you are....

Is Grand Island or Kearney the big hotbed of recruiting in state? Getting any good prospects out of Lexington? How has Title IX impacted the ability to keep the next Christian Peters on campus for UNL? Keep us up-to-date on those fearsome Bugeaters.
