Good god this board is shite.
No kidding
A legitimate "just for fun" thread that took 0 shots or aggression towards another team and it just gets bombarded with trolls anyways.

Just hang up. Some one that reps UCLA doesn't belong here.

KCMOtiger, you clearly have a lot of time on your hands to come up with this stat, but I agree with you that it is weird. Basically though it is simply a coincidence for the given time periods.

You'll find, that over time, it's the weekly grind that gets you in the SEC. Unless you maintain a high level of talent and coaching, the weekly grind catches-up to you.
The thing about the SEC is that no one ever sits still and everyone cannot be champions year-in and year-out.
Half the teams can be winners, the other half losers, within the league. It'll catch-up to you eventually if you even blink.
Look at how long UT has been down ... and they were, traditionally, one of the powerhouses in college football for decades yet they are suffering through the losingest span in this history right now. No guarantees that it is over - not yet.

BTW playing TAMU when they were not in the SEC does not count as SEC wins.
Thanks for the clarification Cheese Grits. Please refer to the OP and tell me if I called those SEC wins, or if I called them wins against the 13 teams in the SEC upon Mizzou's joining.

Hey, for once I agree with you. And I think Mizzou fans are well aware of that and know that we are going to have some difficult times in the SEC.
Don't get me wrong...this wasn't a "look at how great we are!!!" thread which I'm assuming is the reason it's being trolled. I simply was dicking around on the college football database and noticed that stat and thought it was fairly unique and worth posting.

It's exactly why you are being trolled.
You didn't mean to troll (I don't think) but it kind of was troll thread accidentally.
Thanks Muschamp.

You have the same idiots that regurgitate the same tired shite over and over.
What's worse though is they can't even keep it out of non troll threads (not that those exist)

Well that was not my intent. I guess sorry for having a good record against the rest of the SEC which apparently upsets people

It appears to be part of your numbers for the math part of your position which implies SEC to SEC type numbers. So of the less OCD folks on here might not catch your shift in dynamics and have an incorrect interpretation based on an incorrect percentage.
B1G and PAC folks do that, you are in the SEC now so no need to follow others bad habits. In fact I would suggest you include Sewanee, Tulane, and Georgia Tech during their SEC years for a correct number. It may actually make Mizzou look better, but at least it is a more accurate perception based on real comparison numbers.

I get your point, but my thread was created with the current SEC in mind. I'm not interested in inflating Mizzou's numbers by adding Sewanee, GT, Tulane, etc or comparing Mizzou vs teams who were in the SEC at the time we played.
My point was regardless of what conference the teams were in at the time we played, these are the records Mizzou had against the SEC's other current 13 members. For example, I did not care that Vanderbilt was in the Southern Conference during 3 of our games, A&M was in the Big 12 for all but 3 of our games, Arkansas was in the SWC for x amount of games, etc etc. Just a current 13 member comparison which I broadly defined as "the SEC"

you nabbed a nice little grouping of "the usual suspects" right out of the chute though even if you were not trying to do so.

I admittedly suck at trolling and apparently I do it better when I'm not even trying to

Its not hard to rustle up some of these folks, just this symbol gets them going.
I mean you have Grits in here telling you how to act and how to post and how to "SEC" properly. I dont think he can help himself when it comes to "putting mizzou fans in their place".

He's back in mid season form. Though I'm not sure why.

I am not back in mid season form, just trying to match apples with apples as OCD folks tend to do.
I appreciate he went back and did the research just that it does not give a true reflection. You are viewing it as a me vs you while I view it as an "us" (SEC) vs "them" (B1G or PAC) where you are used to having to defend numbers put forth by an outside conference to show the SEC as inferior. You guys are new here and during this time OSU, Utx, ND, UM, U$C, and the like have been down. If OSU continues last year or the others get back to where they were 20 or 30 years ago, their Montee G's will start clouding the picture with "adjusted" numbers and records.
I already had the debate this summer with some UNC folks who are already counting the Line Beards 3 NC's in basketball as 3 more ACC NC's.

So what you're saying is I should include 6 1 5 in my powerball numbers. Thanks!
