The Irony of course is that Georgia in 2012, when the East was "Up" according to you idiots here, needed help to win the SEC East.
How do you reconcile that? It was one of the best seasons in SEC East history but the champion needed help from another team to get into the SEC championship game.

In the SEC we judge based on National Championships.
1. Alabama
2. Auburn
3. LSU
4. Florida
5. Tennessee
Those are the only schools that delivered national titles in the BCS.

Mizzou fans really don't puff their chest much on here. Way less than most fan bases in fact. There does come a point though when you hear the same tired shite over and over you push back. Just like any fan base. We are no different.
Here is our truth.
2012- We sucked. We would have been a lot better if not due to the crippling amount of injuries we suffered. How much better? Who knows. In the end though, we were a bad football team.
2013- we had a great football team. Nationally elite and could have beaten anybody. Stocked with NFL talent on both sides of the ball. We lost two games, both to top 5 teams. We came up short but we were definitely good enough.
2014- we were a good football team, but inconsistent and flawed. We lost 3 games. 1 to a shitty team that we shouldn't have lost. 1 where we played like shite and Georgia kicked out teeth in. 1 where we were just outclassed and couldn't keep up. What that team did do though, was win its last 6 games and needed everyone of them. Including against an Arkansas team, which at the time we played them, was getting a lot of hype about being the hottest team in the country and of course per this board...we had no shot against.
So yeah...considering the inherent disadvantages we have vs the majority of teams in this league, I'm proud of what we have accomplished. You can excuse away back to back division titles all you want but Mizzou fans are proud of what we've done. If that's "puffing our chest out" then so be it.

Missouri was a great addition to the SEC. A huge accomplishment to win back to back division titles. However, until you win a modern day National Championship, you won't receive the respect you believe is deserved.

I believe it's spelled "win" but I don't think Mizzou fans are asking to be recognized as some elite powerhouse. Mizzou isn't that.
However, Mizzou isn't about to fall into some SEC East abyss with Vandy like some think.

I don't have a problem with that any more than I do about Ole Miss and State fans crowing after finishing second and third in the division, ahead of LSU and Auburn. They're not in the same class as those teams, so they deserve to celebrate after having more success than they typically do.
But State and Ole Miss won't be confused with those two teams as programs any time soon... and until they win something of note, neither will Mizzou. As posted earlier, you're 2-7 against Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Carolina, and Georgia (i.e. the better teams in the conference)... improve upon that record, and see your prestige climb as well.
I have nothing against Mizzou personally, but they are not among the SEC's elite at this time, despite how much they think they should be for beating up on Vandy and Kentucky, and shadows of Tennessee and Florida.
