Hill wound up with two more yrs of probabtion. His first offense was non-violent, non-drug, non-weapon, and borderline juvenile age. But the big difference here is that JH went through the courts both times and came out the other side with dire consequences hanging over him. He missed an entire year of football and all summer workouts will trying his cases. His deals were bargained with the Judge.
These guys were spit out by the law enforcement officials and they learned nothing from the experience except that high powered people will get you out of anything in their program...

Pathetic homer spin, dude. Hill was convicted of a sexual crime against a 14 year old girl. He then violated his probation and committed a violent crime. What exactly did he learn from the court system after his first conviction? All of these players deals were bargained with officials.

It is very fishy and this DA just told everyone that if you are an athlete or a successful person he will give you a break. What if these two were just two guys from the projects or the trailer park?

Fact remains that blindsiding someone could lead to serious consequences for that person. Thankfully Hill is a weak baby back bitch who wouldn't fight someone unless it was a surprise attack.

We've gone down this road a million times but 2 things about Hill's first offense: One, he was 18 for all of 2 or 3 weeks and was still in high school. And two, there was a video shown of the girl being anything but forced so that's why the charges were reduced.
As for the bar fight, it was just that, a bar fight in which Hill acted like a bitch by throwing the sucker punch.

I am fairly far removed from Ouachita Parish, but I am embarrassed for my state.
LA politics is known the world over for it's corruption, and IMO, it is present in this case, probably on the back end by an agent in LA, but that's beside the point too.
The man allowed himself to be taped making a comment that sets our legal system and society back 150 years. I think Paul Finebaum, of all people, really summed it up best on his show yesterday.

Well, the "taking advantage" part of the whole deal was what got his charges reduced. Personally? I'd be pissed and probably want to press charges also. I'm not debating that at all. I'm just telling you why his charges were reduced in that incident.

And MSU took a metric ton of shite for it. And most of their reasonable fans expressed some trepidation of the move. I don't think anyone expects Saban will punish the guys but I think people expect Bama fans who truly believe Saban is any different than other slimy coaches to recognize the reality around them.
You've flipped your lid,or else are simply out of touch with reality. EVERY Bama fan I know expects Saban to do something about it.

Permanent captains will not be named until next spring, I believe. If they are still on the team and have done the things the coaching staff requires them to do in order to get out of the doghouse, then maybe they will be eligible.
Make no mistake, I am so conservative that my right arm does not reach far enough. But in this case, it appears that the road these men were going down was made visible and they have been given a second chance. There were no major felonies involved, and frankly, what they WERE charged with is something that could easily happen to any of us. I have myself bought a used gun before. Far better to give someone a second chance than contribute to the horrifying incarceration rates for trivial matters. There were no identifiable victims in the charges for these guys.
Nonetheless, this situation has been and continues to be addressed outside the legal system but within the coaching system for our team. It's arguable which set of punishments we might consider to be worse if we were the ones facing it.
But - giving second chances and earning your way back into good graces is another matter entirely. Rest assured that Saban doesn't take this stuff lightly and if you really think that, you haven't been paying attention. JMHO.
