Exactly.

It's almost like this is what you would expect out of someone thrown in this situation.

Does anyone else think he acts like what a typical cajun would act like if he obtained that fame at such a young age? Hell, he would have fit in perfect with LSU culture!

The problem with Johnny is the same as with a lot of young celebs.

They love the limelight until it reveals them fricking up -- regardless of whether the frickups are the average run-of-the-mill frickups for a kid that age -- then they want to just be allowed to be a college kid.

And by all means, he has every right to be "just a college kid," all he has to do is quit the team.

Was Ingram getting in trouble, posting dumb shite on Twitter, telling people to feel sorry for him because they don't understand what it's like to be him, etc...

That's the point. Most of this shite is self inflicted

Manziels dad seems to be a bit crazy himself though

There are tons of college football players that are "just a collge kid"...he should be able to as well.

The media wants to make everytime he scratched his arse to be a story.

He's not listening to anyone around him right now and that won't bode well come football season when he has to play nice with others.

I hope he doesn't get pissy with Sumlin. I guarantee Sumlin won't put up with his shite if he gets confrontational on live television with him and I'm sure A&M fans would be all for Sumlin kicking him off the team if he got physical with the coaching staff.

I agree it is not the drinking and all that made me start to lose respect for him. It is the whining about wanting to be a normal college kid, and getting kicked out of the manning thing for what can only be described as blatant lack of respect.

He just doesn't seem to me to be grounded in reality. He can wish all he wants to but the spotlight will still be on him. It is up to him to change the tone of the stories by presenting himself in a quality way. Or he can quit and live out of the spotlight.

That article made me think lesser of the Aggies than Manziel to be honest unless his dad is talking out of his butt that is. Pending this is true, does this create turmoil between him and the staff during the season?

Everything is magnified with Johnny. He has to be escorted in a patrol car just to make it home from games. He can't be seen in public doing anything without being mobbed. TMZ and ESPN put everything in his life on a ticker. Not a fish bowl I would havbed one well in at his age. He has deep seated anger / unhealthy competitiveness issues in my opinion also.

You have a point. He needs to realize you can't be the biggest celebrity in college sports and just be a normal college kid. That comes with maturity, and he's still young and stupid. I just remember what I was like at 20, and I know I wouldn't have handled the spotlight well.

He definitely needs a good role model to help him in that regard. Sumlin and his parents should be the ones filling that role.

What exactly has A&M done wrong in that article?

I agree. And before he's done at A&M I think he's going to have a confrontation with someone on the coaching staff after he makes a mistake or something. (Not just a GA. Like the OC or Sumlin himself)
