Reading the article, I really feel for him.

It put some things in context, and the MSM is really out to get him. I can't imagine being in his position at 20yo. I'd probably have a major breakdown.

Go get 'em Johnny

If he's getting alcohol counseling then that's a problem, but Johnny isn't going to change until he thinks he has a problem. The first step to getting sober is admitting that you need to change, but Manziel just keeps saying "I'm a 20 year old college kid."

He obviously isn't mature enough to realize the consequences of his actions.

I also love the fake news story:

PLANO, TEXAS (AP) -- Johnathan Paul Manziel, who captured the nation's attention en route to winning the 2012 Heisman Trophy, was arrested in suburban Dallas on Tuesday.

So, my question after reading this...Manziel is quoted in the article about being tired of the spotlight and "tired of people." So, why is his dad putting him back in the spotlight and creating more attention for him? Seems like it's not hard to see why JFF is having the issues he's having right now.

Its a self fulfilling prophecy

Now A&M fans will (in some ways rightfully so) pile on his dad, and the next time his dad gives an interview he can add that to the list of injustices

I don't get why I'm supposed to care about Paul Manziel. His parenting is his business. I couldn't give two shits.

From reading this article, it's my understanding that Manziel needs:

1. Anger management
2. AA
3. Other assorted therapies
4. A handler/PR guy
5. Golf lessons
6. Lawyers

Seems like this guy has it all put together.

I thought it was interesting to see how frustrated the family was with the ATM admin. how offended they were that the school was also trying to benefit from his fame/success.

Talk about entitled brats...

1. That's what pussy is for
2. He ain't no quitter
3. The masseuse usually lights some incense before the happy ending = aromatherapy. Check.
4. Has one. Reading comp is a GREAT class in college.
5. Already takes them. See #4
6. If there is one thing I'm certain JFF has right now (other than an STD) it's attorneys.

I think it's also funny that JFF gets advice on game from a rap star. Why not get advise from someone like an NFL QB.

Good example of how he see himself more as a celebrity/entertainer than a football player.

Can't wait for sept 14th

I don't understand the JFF mania.

He's a 20 year old who is now famous with the media watching his every move to hopefully land a story. Surprise, a 20 year old makes some bad decisions. I know I would not have wanted the scrutiny he's under at 20. Sure he gets top shelf pussy and gets to do things people that age only dream of, but it comes at a cost.

Could he handle himself better? No doubt, but his reactions to his situation were to be expected. Those of us who didn't do anything stupid at that age go ahead and cast stones. I'm not expecting to see many flying his way.

He obviously needs a new one. Especially with his buddy allowing the ESPN writer this type of access knowing what kind of article was going to be written.

He took them. Not anymore. Remember the part where he said he already forgot what he learned in Houston, then his dad helps him. Reading is fundamental.
