Sad that you would want credit for something so lame

If they had a sense of humor they wouldn't be auburn fans.

Quite frankly, if they really believe LSU fans smell like corn dogs, they have an incredibly misguided olfactory system. That could just be a biproduct of Alabama cuisine though.

I still laugh every time I see this. DeeepBlue on the Auburn scout board probably wrote it, but Nebraska fans were probably called 'corndogs' first. Doesn't really matter at this point; the association between LSU and corndogs is here to stay.

LSU fans need to realize that by denying the joke, they are actually supporting it. The only thing that will make it disappear is ignoring it.

Nobody is denying that you call us corndogs, it just doesn't actually elicit anything. It is the intellectual equivalent of walking up to a skinny guy and yelling "Fatso" and thinking it is hilarious. Rock on with it, because you guys think it is hilarious.

I still don't get it. I have never seen one corndog on campus on gameday. How can you smell like something you haven't been around?

Wasn't it originally meant for and written in reference to Nebraska fans then someone not smart enough to come up with their own insults made it about LSU?

Yes it was a stupid jab at the Cornhuskers name by another Big 12 fanbase.

EX:
Crimson Tide = Crimson Flow (heh period jokes!)
Aggies = Faggies
Cornhuskers = Corndogs

Aubies get all butthurt though when you take it away from them though.

Its just pathetic how it was copied from another fanbase. I really cringe and feel bad for other fans who actually think its insulting and/or funny. Wouldnt expect anything too creative from a bunchof pompom waving lil brahs

This may be showing my age but the corn dog thing reminds me of when white people were called "honkeys"... It didn't matter to them because there was no emotional history or even a good backstory that connected that word to an insult.

When I read this stuff, it causes no reaction whatsoever except maybe confusion...

They smell like bourbon and grilled trinity imo.

They stink depending on your appetite for the day considering what you did the night previous and your stomach.

I like a good boudain smelling mo'fricka. But if I'm severely hungover....meh, not so much.

That's not the original...this one is funnier because so many people have added to it over the years, but the original letter was only about 1/4 the length of this letter.

PS - Corn dogs are yummy, so what can I say.

You LSU fans seem to be extremely sensitive about this topic.

I think we are all just curious why Corn Dogs are funny when they taste so good. We could understand the joke if you said we smelled like something bad...say broccoli if you want to stay in a food group, or a fart...that's always funny. But corndogs? It just seems weird because they don't serve them in or around the stadium and it's not offensive. Most people actually like them and it kind of sounds like you're calling us a "hotdog" which is kind of cool. So go figure...

I think it is funny as shite...the article that is. As far as us being called corn dogs, I'm really indifferent. I don't find it insulting. Just as I don't think alabama fans find Gump offensive. To be honest, I've heard other fans around the stadium say that it smells like corn dogs in certain parts of the stadium...you know...due to certain areas having fried food. But whatever. Lol. Half the time i smell like a roux, and the other, when I'm frying, which is a lot (and maybe part of the issue), I probably smell like a carny. So no big deal. I can guarantee, corn dog or not, there ain't one of them aubies who gonna turn down a meal from a coonass.
