I can speak for my group, and we just don't get the whole corndog thing. Nobody eats them anywhere on campus. We eat mostly seafood, beef, or pork at our tailgates. Therefore, we don't find it funny or insulting.
I will say that I saw corndogs for sale at the Ole Miss stadium last year.
I thought it came from the Nebraska area.

original LSU corndog essay

No such thing exists. Auburn fan plagiarizing a letter written about Nebraska, where it actually makes sense. I know you believe otherwise, but it really means nothing to LSU fans.

Of course. But it was more fun watching an Aubie look like a retard while demanding to be shown to be a retard.

Ahhh, now I see why all of the LSU fans think an Auburn fan wrote that. Apparently one did. I googled "why are LSU fans called corn dogs". I now see. I then googled "why are Nebraska fans called corn dogs". I got one link about it. It was for a TD thread where LSU fans said it was written about Nebraska fans first.

OP is just a POS that's made he can't make Katrina jokes.

And definitely never talk about Katrina in any joking way. Though this is tempting with corndogs sometimes.

Substitute LSU with Nebraska and you could call it original but simply replacing Nebraska with LSU is hardly original

Never claimed that. Just found it odd that there was only one link saying it was originally written about Nebraska fans. That link just happened to be for a TD thread. That doesn't seem odd to you?

ETA You LSU fans seem to be extremely sensitive about this topic.

Yeah, cornhuskers were called corndogs by some rival student section, and it made national TV. I honestly have no idea how or why auburn fans made it about LSU. I guess that's part of the charm.

Kansas St. Student section coined it for Nebraska in honor of the state celebrated Corndog Day

That would be pronounced "corndoegs" as the eaux mimics a long "O" sound actually. But I never really expected a gump to get hooked on phonics.
