I'm sure you two would get along.

UA and UT have played every year except 2 since 1901. There is a source of the hatred.
I don't think that's actually true -- a quick search tells me they missed a few years in the early part of the last century, and currently stand at 49-38-7 (94 out of 112 years.) But that's still an impressively large number of games, so your point is taken.

Pretty damn sad that LSU fans have nothing left to do but troll the SEC rant..

Nor do you hear it from other non-contenders

Just because our out of state rival is greater than any rival you have doesnt make you less of a fan.

And this is wrong. UT-A&M is (was) a bigger rivalry nationally than UA-Tenn.
God we have to do something about the education system in Louisiana.... He mr sit at home on wellfare check.... There are three types of rivalries...
"...civil wars" involving ag-school vs State school are big games across the country. Mich v Mich St.; Ole Miss vs Miss St; Fla v Fla St; Texas v aTm; Ala v Aub.; etc.
But "border wars" are another matter and take on a different, perhaps deeper level of intensity. Ala v Tenn may be the original but Mich v OSU, Tex v Ok, Fla v Ga, MO vs KS, etc., are games that are as important as the civil war games.
The last type of rivalry is "class warfare." These involve private school against State school, Standford v Cal, Ga vs Ga Tech, Duke v NC, etc. Intense games but usually of less national interest.
From the narrow perspective of modern LSU fans, LSU currently has no rivals. However, very soon now the younger LSU fans who have been entitled by the last 10 years results by a team that has been pretty middle of the pack for most of its history, will begin to understand the importance of beating someone like Ole Miss, or aTm.... because those two programs are going to beat that LSU posterior until the fan base begins to notice...

My hatred for those hillbilly clowns, their putrid orange gear, and their dumb arse Rocky Top song runs deep.
The only reason to start threads like this is immaturity brought on by jealousy.

Has Spurrier chimed in on these 8 pages with some witty comments about getting to play Tennessee every year?

Do you not realize how easily y'all get rustled over this? That's the cause of 90% of it.
