We benefitted from a schedule advantage over LSU last year. That's a fact. Our permanent opponent is the second best team in the SEC historically. That is also a fact. If Missouri had been on our schedule, we'd have heard the same complaining all summer. You don't know how good a team is going to be one year to the next, and complaining about us playing the historically second best team in the conference every year is just stupid.
I can understand the hatred 10 years ago, but it's a little tired now however. Add in the fact that neither Bama nor UT look to be changing current courses anytime soon, and it just seems silly to proclaim such faux-hatred.

Alabama can't play powerhouse teams like Ole Miss every week. Tennessee probably will play with heart, which is more than some teams can say. Like LSU.

I get it, they're a slam dunk win each year so I can't blame y'all for wanting an easier schedule. I have no problem with that. But why not just be honest about it, instead of trying to pretend that you wouldn't piss on a UT fan on fire when your team is going to beat their team by 40 anyway?

Bama/UT is an odd rivalry. It's one long streak after another. But the Fulmer years still sting for most Bama fans.
For me, LSU is our current rival, Tennessee is our hated rival, and auburn just disgusts me and I hate to be mentioned in the same sentence with them - it would be demeaning to call them a rival.
