Nice of you to ignore the fact that Colt MCCoy was injured in 2009. Texas was not a top 10 team with Garrrett Gilbert at quarterback

Honestly, I don't view a schedule as a deciding factor between two teams anyways. IMO, 2004 Auburn > 2010 Auburn and the former played an easier schedule. They both went undefeated in the end.

2011 LSU (and Bama) had holes in their offense
The only hole in our offense that year was the lack of a deep threat WR. McCarron was above average, the offensive line was solid and we had two great RBs to run through the holes they created (Richardson and Lacy). '11 Alabama was the embodiment of what Nick Saban said he planned to create in his first press conference back in '07.

He played in the game. A fluke shot to the shoulder took him out. That's football. McElroy played that game with a pair of cracked ribs that severely limited his throwing ability. Both teams were very one dimensional as a result that night.

Yet 96 UF should be punished for playing someone worth a shite ooc?

Alabama's wide receivers from the 2011 team were mediocre at best. IMO, that doesn't matter anyways, as AJ McCarron hadn't been given the keys to the offense just yet.

For losing, yes. Sorry they couldn't go unblemished. It happens.

So we would've been better off beating Bowling Green, ULM, or The Citadel instead?

They were mainly possession receivers. They weren't the greatest but they weren't bad either. Marquis Maze and Darius Hanks were very reliable and Kenny Bell was always a threat to stretch the field.

Yes, because you lost a game.
12-1 =/= 13-0

Well of course you're mad about any UF team from the 90s.

Well, yeah, but that's beside the point

Yeah and Texas was winning while Colt McCoy was playing. You can spare me any bs excuses about Ginger McElroy because he wasn't anywhere close to the college player Colt McCoy was

Wasn't it 3-0 in the first quarter when he quit?

I agree with the Gator fan.
Take the 1978 Alabama Football Team vs. the 1979 Alabama Football team. In my opinion the '78 team was better, despite the lone loss. '79 Alabama may have been undefeated but their first first five opponents were as follows:
@ Georgia Tech
vs. Baylor
@ Vanderbilt
vs. Wichita State
@ Florida
Florida sucked during that time so the first five games were hopelessly laughable. They played only two ranked opponents in the regular season.
Compare that to 1978 Alabama's first five opponents:
vs. #10 Nebraska
@ #11 Missouri
vs. #7 USC
vs. Vanderbilt
@ Washington
'78 Alabama opened up with three Top 15-ranked opponents as well as traveled to play a decent team from a major conference. They ended up losing one of those games but won the rest of their games, as well as the national championship, down the stretch.
1978 Alabama would have more than likely beaten 1979 Alabama in a head-to-head match up.
