end zone somewhere near the Ionosphere.

Your other choice of visitor section seats at that time were on the east side, far far far south end. We are talking about this section is 10 yards past of the endzone with no curve so you have to either watch the Gigatron or stretch your neck so far to the right to see shite. At least at the top of The Zone you can see everything on the field, albeit with the same view of a satellite.

FWIW, I was at the A&M-Bama game last year and that stadium didn't really get that loud....not compared to some I've been to at Kyle Field....not saying it doesn't get loud there...just not that day....even when they were making a come back. I've also been to LSU...it compares to Kyle.

Were you in the endzone upper deck section in BDS last year? I sat there once and it's much quieter there compared to the lower bowl. Of course, the same goes for the upper deck even at incredibly loud places like Tiger Stadium. It wasn't exceptionally loud for the A&M game last year with the exception of A&M's last drive that Alabama stopped right before they jumped off sides for the punt as well as McCarron's long pass to Kenny Bell to the 4 yard line just before that. The stadium was about to come apart during those two moments. As for Kyle Field, I've always heard it was one of the loudest stadiums there was.

Got ya. My thesis research is shade on Bermuda grass. Granted its on putting greens but it still interests me in stadium settings.

I know the new World Cup stadiums are having to use grow lights to successfully establish their grass due to shade.

That'd be a wierd experience for sure. Sad as well.

Not football related, but this happened in the crowd around the 18th green at the Bruno's Memorial Classic one of the last years it was at Greystone CC. A man probably in his late 60s/early 70s had a heart attack in the crowd right next to the 18th green as the final group was about to decide the winner of the tournament. Paramedics quietly carted the guy off with his upset family member but it was an uncomfortable thing go watch and a strange setting to see something like that.

The best part for me was the military type drum beat that starts during the pregame when the players are about to take the field. That was a nice touch. I felt like a war was about to start.

This, was at the LSU game last year, got decently loud when they took the lead at first. Was honestly expecting more, thought the yells were cool and different but also kinda ghey

Its very loud - always listed in top ten stadiums. It will be hot though so people will be hydrating.
