This is what he should have said. It would have been a nice troll.

We gotta stop that Bugga ball. Hit everyone you see. Hit that running back. Then run up in the stands and slap their mommas.

We were best to death last year, we shouldn't need any motivation

If its true, that is STUPID of Ford. Ford is a solid player and I love his confidence, but LF7 is an elite player that has phenomenal skills.

LF is the type of player that starts from day one at any program he chooses. It is not like he is overrated like mark ingram or something.

On this issue, Ford is wrong. (Again, if he really said it)

Ford is a good player but he is pretty small. he brings it but bounces off sometimes. not sure he can tackle LF 1 on 1 honestly. he should have just stfu

Quotes taken out of context, but folks only read the headline. I hate the media.

"The challenge is stopping No. 7," Ford said. "We have to get ready. It's going to be a big, physical game, get ready for pounding and that's what we're going to get ready for."

agree that it's always overplayed, but it's just not wise calling out a heisman candidate running back before you go on the road, against a school you beat 41-7 the previous year. It's not like LSU needs any more motivation as it is

The only thing more overhyoed in college than player quotes are revenge games. Like somehow losing the previous year gives a team extra motivation.

Neither team needs added motivation here.

There still isn't any meaningful context because you didn't provide the quote in the headline.

If they're not motivated after getting destroyed last year then I doubt a quote will help.

I wouldn't count on it. Rudy brings the pain when he hits people. I wish the whole defense was like him.

The kid LF posterized last year was considered a "hard hitter" too.
