Doubt LSU needed locker material tbh.

It's not stupid from a motivation standpoint. AU blasted LSU by 34 last year, if they aren't motivated to avenge that loss then nothing will get the going.

It's stupid for any player to say things like this this because it's a no win situation. If AU does stop LSU, he's not going to get any recognition for calling it. However, if Fournette goes ham he's going to get blasted by the media for saying it.

One day, college players will learn to keep their mouths shut.

Just kidding. There will always be idiots.

I mean LF is going to get his regardless. He doesn't seem like the type where his game is impacted by what someone says, he'll play hard regardless. With that said, Ford just opened himself up to the inevitable backfire when LF runs for 150 and a couple scores.

What's he supposed to say?

If you are LSU, you shouldn't need bulletin board material, so...

When you have two teams loaded with talent facing each other a lil extra motivation can be the difference

C'mon man. He's charmin, at worst.

To be honest, he's more along the lines of TP from your average high school.

Something along the lines of "it will be a challenge, but I think we're up to the task".. You can show respect and confidence at the same time, all while not giving them extra motivation.
