I mean LF is going to get his regardless. He doesn't seem like the type where his game is impacted by what someone says, he'll play hard regardless. With that said, Ford just opened himself up to the inevitable backfire when LF runs for 150 and a couple scores.

I think most people anticipate Fournette making a point by running straight at Rudy

Exactly. What do you want him to say?

"I have no idea how we're gonna stop him. He's the GOAT RB I've ever played against. He's gonna run all over us!!!"

Gimme a damn break. I honestly appreciate his confidence.

So, you're trying to say he's weak, not soft?

One ply isn't very soft.

This might sound crazy, but he could say something along the lines of "It's going to be a big challenge for us, but we're really looking forward to it" instead of insinuating stopping him will be a cake walk

Something along the lines of "it will be a challenge, but I think we're up to the task".. You can show respect and confidence at the same time, all while not giving them extra motivation.

Now this I can agree with.

Rudy says frick bagmans post and he don't give a shite what kind of response LSU fans want. He is going to make LF quit and you will like it.

I figured this pic would be appropriate for this thread.

Rudy about to lay the WOOD to LF.

I understand where you, and others are coming from, I really do...

However, there's nothing in the world wrong with a little gamesmanship on his part. Personally, I like it. What's more "wrong" is people reading between the lines or getting in their feelings about a kid speaking some confidence on behalf of his team.
