Baton Rouge is really the worst town in the SEC. Gainesville is close
Except South Baton Rouge is actually great. The entire town of Gainesville is known as the a-hole of America

Remember that time when President-elect Obama knew the economy was bad because of the price being paid for arugula at Whole Foods?
- No Obama
- No Arugula
- No Whole Foods

So, towns that rank the highest in wasting money?

Their main things are meats, sauces, and rubs, but they also have produce, liquor, cakes, etc. The original location is in South GA off I-75 but a few years ago they opened one in the Watkinsville/Athens area and it is heaven

Butcher and Farmer's Market on Campus. We don't need your fake hipster trendy stores.

Baton Rouge is not really a college town. As far as the campus's go, I say we're top 3.

LSU's campus is one of my favorites. UGa-UF bias aside, there isn't a single spectacular thing about Gainesville; very mediocre campus and town. I wouldn't call it bad or ugly but there's nothing great about it either. It's literally the typical North Florida/South GA town that exists simply for people to stop off at on I-75, only it also has a big time football stadium and a campus that looks no different than Kennesaw State's in Marietta.

Your campus is ok. The buildings are ugly and the Mexican shingles and stucco are pretty bad. It looks like a scene from the breakfast club sometimes.

If you have pretty good amount of commercial air service, you are not a "college town"

the airport isn't in Fayetteville

The regional airport is technically 25 minutes away to the north.
Fayetteville is morphing into a medium-sized metro, but it is still its own distinct town. The county to the north has more people, is growing faster, etc. Fayetteville is on the southern end of the entire metropolitan area. The only reason it is still called the "Fayetteville metro" by fedgov is because in spite of all of the metro growth, Fayetteville is still the largest town by population in the metro (barely).
