Baton Rouge is really the worst town in the SEC. Gainesville is close

I agree with this. BR is a fun place to tailgate but I hate that town

I think you mean Tara. That neighborhood made a turn for the worst decades ago.

Yes, Tara...they do not live there anymore. I lived right behind Cathloic HS and seen a bunch of stuff go down and at times would hear gun fire go off. Love to experience the wife's family, enjoy the culture and food. I enjoy Baton Rouge, just glad we don't live there. For one, paying for private school for our daughters if we lived there.

Fayetteville has 80,000 people. Anywhere but Mississippi, that's still considered a "town".

Any town in the SEC has a Lucky's Market. If not, sit your asses down.

Gainesville doesn't have a Whole Foods, but does have a Lucky's Market, Trader Joe's and Fresh Market.

I thought we've already been over this. Fayetteville is part of a metropolis of over 500k.

Fayetteville is part of a four-county metro area of about 500k. Washington County has about 220k people.

Fayetteville is still a distinct town, though.

NWA towns aren't as grown together as Richardson/Plano/Allen for example. Not yet, anyway.

Does Fresh Market, Wild Oats, or Earth Fare count for anything?

Bentonville and Rogers are certainly grown together and Fayetteville and Springdale are as well to a lesser extent. The top and bottom don't quite meet, but will in the next decade or so.

We have a Fresh Market as well, and Ozark Natural Foods is about the same (only actual local produce) plus several other local and regional options.

That having been said Central Market kicks arse and I always check it out when in Dallas or Austin. I don't buy too much produce as I try to grow most of what I eat (damned bananas are the biggest remaining obstacle), but their produce does look really nice.

We just got Lucky's Market as well. $2 growlers of local craft beer on tap while you shop.

I like Fresh Market's deli, good stuff. We need a Publix here though so I can get my sub fix.

There is no way they're selling 64 ozs of craft beer for $2. I doubt the brewery can even make it that cheaply.

The fill ups are. Obviously the initial growler itself is more. It's a new place based out of Denver. Maybe it's a promo price? I hope not. Regardless, drinking while you shop=winning.
