um. McCalleb had 800 and Dyer had 1100 sharing a backfield with a Heisman winner.

Its different when that Heisman is on the field at the same time as the back. Trent and Ingram are rarely in at the same time.

The Richardson Hype is real and deserved. Richardson, Lattimore, Dyer and Davis are all fantastic back. All have something very special about their game but all have one or two areas they need to improve as well. All have proven their worth to their teams. Richardson was able to prove his while being the sidekick of Ingram. Being noticed at all while running behind Ingram is a huge feat in itself.

For TR to be in the Heisman hunt he needs to improve his lateral step when pressing the whole and stay healthy. The stay healthy part is where having a sidekick like he was to Ingram will be important. I predict TR will be in NYC for the show but I do not expect the stars to align for him as well as they did for Ingram last year. TR will also be the #1 back taken in next years NFL draft.

Richardson has weightlifted himself into a fullback and lost a lot of his lateral quickness. Anyone that watched the tide last could see that he was not the same as 2009. He just tries run everyone over now and that doesn't work very often for anyone.

As far as big backs the FR at USC is much better and I would even take Ridley over Trent but we will see what happens 2011.

And comparing a running spread yardages to a pro-set offense is silly.

This.

AU ran around 20-30 more plays per game and most of the time, McCalleb and Dyer were in at the same time. Richardson and Ingram are hardly ever in at the same time.

Also, like another poster stated, y'all had a veteran OL. Not to mention, your Heisman QB that took most defenders away from your backs.

When they were both in the game at the same time, they had two different roles. OM played the role of the slot back, always in motion and always outside. Dyer played the role as the I-back minus the fullback. His yardage was hardnose running and not because the D was faked out by Cam.

Most of the time McCalleb would motion into the back field with Newton and Dyer. Sometimes he would motion out to the slot, but not very often.

Great backs tend to overcome bad line play? Excellent. Then I can't wait for Dyer to run for 1,500 behind that green O-line Auburn will be fielding next year.

It's quite obvious from this statement you don't belong on a college football message board assessing talent. You obviously don't know what you are looking at.

Potential and results are two things. I have seen great talent not live up to the hype or I've seen fans prop players up based on a couple of highlights. TR has talent, but not a Heisman contender based on his first two years.

Nobody from Auburn is trying to put Dyer on any pedestal, I said from the begining that Lattimore is the best back in the league. Just can not see how they put TR at the Heisman level.

No, it's not true. Bama fans have said that Trent probably has more raw talent than Mark, but not that he was better. If anything, we were arguing with the shitnuggets that were saying he was better than Mark.

Finally, someone gets it. It was the barners that were saying the Richardson was the best back and that Ingram shouldn't have won the Heisman. If they said it once, they said it 1000 times. Now, they are using what they said, and saying it is what we said. Typical barner logic!

Richardson hype
I do not understand all the hype the bama fans are putting out in regards to TR. He had a total 700 yrds rushing on the year and only two 100 yrd games. His yards per carry was good, but against good teams he sucked. Ingram was by far the best back on that team.
I have seen some stupid arse barn posters before but I think you take the grand prize. You can't fix stupid.

Was Dyer's runs mostly on read option plays? If so, that would mean they were faked out by Cam because most defenses only targeted Cam most of the time which led to Dyer's long runs. He's a good back with a great role in y'alls offense but he's not in Richardson or Lattimore's league.

Richardson will get his chance next year unless he transfers or gets a medical hardship to make way for Dee Hart. We will see just like we will see if Dyer can be worth a shite without Cam. Patience is hard for rantards I know......

You probably said the same thing about MI before the '09 season too...
