Anyways, what is LSU's standard?

Pretty simple really.

> than 10 wins : great year

10 wins: "good" year

9 wins: average year

8 wins or worse: bad to terrible year depending how far down we go.

Obviously there is some wiggle room here based on how exactly these wins come and who the loses are to, etc. But this is a pretty close guide.

9-3 with an upset win over Bama should be considered a successful year for LSU football.

yuck

in 11 seasons since breaking through in 2003 LSU has had:

one bad season (8-5 in 2008)
two 9 win seasons (2004, 2009)
one ten win season
three 11 win seasons
one 12 win season
two 13 win seasons

2013 is obviously pending with 9 or 10 wins being the possible final tally

I'll say great year only is reserved for a NC today. 10, 11 wins is a very good year though. I'm assuming the OP was referring to standards for a season.

Bama , in the regular season,has lost to its highest rates opponent for 4 straight years. Yes there is media bias when bama gets in over team with a far better resume.

They lost to a 35 point underdog man. You're telling me their one loss is better than our one loss? bullshite. But, in all reality, LSU is cleanup duty for the spread teams we can never beat.

The wins don't matter. There standard is SEC Title year in and year out.

Bama has 3 sec titles in over two decades. Congrats on getting VOTED INTO BCSCG.the reason you have so few sec titles is that no amount of begging or media bias will get you into the seccg.

Well, Sol, based on these three (3) comments:

The wins don't matter

1)An high school attending bama fan MIGHT realize in order to win titles, you have to win games.
============================================
There standard is SEC Title year in and year out.

2)A junior high bama fan might realize LSU's standard has been higher since LSU has won more SEC titles than Bama has in the last quarter century, or since they have been alive (6 to 5)and it ain't even close in this century. (LSU has twice as many if you can figure that out) When it comes to modern, in- your- sad bamasessed- lifetime- SEC titles, LSU IS the standard, and is wayyyyyy more the standard than Bama could be anytime soon.
==============================================
3) "There" standard

A middle school....... meh, forget it.

Gardy, I'm going to try one more time to help you.
please refer to the subject matter when you post.

Not sure about your education, but LSU expects titles every year. SEC, National SECW, something to that extent.

LSU's history proves that point. When it comes to SEC titles, it means moreso than even bama in the last 25 years, or longer than you have probably been alive.

You're starting to REALLY look a little stupid.
