Bama was a washed up old blip until an ex-LSU coach saved your program. Yet, 7 years after you hired that ex-LSU coach, LSU still leads Bama in every category sans one. All you have to show for it is the same amount of MNC appearances, winning exactly one more. Otherwise, you still look up to LSU in the 21st. Bama certainly is not the SEC standard.

Dude.... Really? Man please stop being a horrible LSU fan. Bama has had the better team as of late. Stop being bamacessed.

Bama has 3 sec titles in over two decades. Congrats on getting VOTED INTO BCSCG.the reason you have so few sec titles is that no amount of begging or media bias will get you into the seccg.

I don't care. Stick to the topic. I'm only concerned with what Saban's teams have done. What is the standard that Miles has set?

who's obsessed? Bama had a great half decade. I'm good with the truth-- which is everything I stated, that LSU leads the SEC overall in every
imaginable SEC category.

Sure, Florida, Auburn and Bama have had nice runs.

We still lead in the categories stated.

That's the standard we have. Pretty realistic when you think about it.......

winning a SEC Title or division would be good for Bama since it doesn't happen often

In no particular order.

1. Eek out lucky wins against arky
2. 3/5 cycles vs. OM
3. Entertaining and likeable team/coach
4. Destroy aggy every year
5. Compete for and/or win the west
6. Recruit like hell so that we have pimp teams to root for and so that every signing day doesn't come with a kick in the nuts

I'm not looking for a particular response, but your bullets are realistic. I also agree that 9-3 and 10-2 seems to be the standard for LSU. 2008-present, Alabama only has one regular season where they lost more than one game. Can any other program in the country say the same?

Due to the massive defensive turnover going into this year I expected to win only 9 games including the bowl game. But as a Standard definitely I as a fan expect to compete for the SEC title

LSU is doing a good job of competing for the SEC title. I respect the LSU program. LSU has got to find a way to avoid the 2012 Florida, 2013 Georgia, and 2013 Ole Miss type losses. Regular season meetings between Alabama and LSU will always be a tossup; fans can be disappointed in the results and their teams' performance, but hey, it's Alabama/LSU.

LSU under CLM since 2005 averages 10.56 wins per season so I'd consider that the standard. Smash mouth football

I guess I'm blessed with a lack of insecurity about our excellent football program and surrounding community.

I wouldn't trade what we have with anyone.

Bama's got the edge on the field at the moment, but we'll work that out regardless of who your coach is.

Know your role.

This post has nothing to do with my topic. I didn't ask which program has been the best since the turn of the century or who has set the SEC standard. I don't find the way LSU plays under Miles enviable. I prefer not playing down to the competition and don't like having to resort to the "rivalry" excuse. Take your sentiments to the Tiger Rant. This is about LSU football, so leave the rest of the SEC out of it.

Well, Les has been here for 9 years and if we win the Outback Bowl that would be 7 years with 10 or more wins.
