Umm, 2010 Auburn didn't even wreck 2010 Bama, and that team lost to Steven Garcia.

2009 Bama didn't even wreck 2009 Auburn, and that team lost to Arkansas and Kentucky.

See how that works?

It's funny that that was about the nicest thing anyone in the thread said about 2010 Auburn and you choose to attack it.

Because it was retarded.

The SEC West alone that year was as good or better than the SEC overall in normal years.

So frick you and your "the SEC was down that year" bullshite.

2011 Alabama did not win their division. No, no, no.

That's the best defense college football has ever seen and may ever see.

14 points was the highest scored against them, that's absurd.
5 shutouts. Also absurd. Over the course of an entire season they allowed less than a touchdown per game. Read 'em and weep

Does compute , 7 close wins with a defense that gave up over 25 points a game.

The only way you can put the 2006 Gators over the 1998 Vols is if you're only paying attention to the national championship game.

You don't know football very well if you think anyteam on that list was close to Bama 2011 , we won games by like 28 points a game margins , not running up scores.

Looks pretty good, but 2009 Alabama is too high and 1998 Tennessee is too low.

Sadly, 2004 Auburn was probably better than every team in your list

Can't buy that. I was at the LSU game which they were extremely fortunate to win. Horrible call on a blocked extra point gave Auburn the victory. LSU handled Caddy and Brown like no one else that year. I would rate that Auburn team around the middle of the BCS title winners pack.

I don't understand the love for 2010 Auburn.
By far the worst defensive team on the list and I'm pretty sure they had more one score wins than any other team.

vs. #3 Oregon
#8 LSU
@ #10 Alabama
#12 Arkansas
@ #15 Mississippi State
vs. #22 South Carolina
#22 South Carolina

That schedule plus the goat football player.

That team would have gotten murdered against either Alabama or LSU the next year. Just about every SEC National Champion had a better defense than any of those teams you listed, and almost all would have done fine moving the ball against that defense.
