harold brantley should be back for Mizzou this year, too. That is a huge boost to already good DL.

Florida too low, Ole Miss too low, Auburn too low, Arkansas too low, LSU too low

You guys realize only 4 teams can make up the Top 4, right? Somebody has to be 5-8. #8 in the SEC could truly be #14 nationally with the talent and depth on some of the lines in the league this year.

I feel pretty good about Alabama #1 and Missouri ranked #2-4 in almost all D-line categories in the league last year and returns everyone. I feel pretty confident in them being in the Top 4. So that leaves 2 spots.......

That happens in all rankings threads. Everyone sees their team lower than what they like and act like the person has some personal vendetta against their team. Those same people rarely use facts to back up their claims as well.

Defensive Line S&P 13-15
Alabama 1.5
Arkansas 13.5
Florida 14.5
Missouri 17
Ole miss 18.5
LSU 25
Mississippi State 41.5
Tennessee 45.5
Auburn 47
Vanderbilt 55
Georgia 62
Texas A&M 81.5
Kentucky 94.5
South Carolina 101.5

These are efficiency ratings for defensive lines over the past two seasons. From LINK
They only go back two years so that's why I only used two years. Without massive amounts of personnel turnover I think it's fair to assume that those teams that are consistently efficient will be again. Those top five teams recruit the position as well as anyone. You could probably assume TAMU and Tennessee at least improve some due to playing exclusively young guys for two years but it's impossible to say how much. And it's unrealistic to expect it to be dramatic.

Auburn with Carl Lawson, Byron Cowart, Marlon Davidson, Paul James III, Jeff Holland, Montravius Adams, Dontavius Russell, Maurice Swain and Devaroe Lawrence in the initial rotation would have to be higher than #6, IMO.

Why? Because some of them were highly rated HS recruits? A few have been solid, but some of those haven't proven anything.

Who the frick does Florida have on the DL? Cant think of a single name.

But of course you will benefit playing Missouri, Kentucky, Vandy and South Carolina. Who all fricking suck on offense. Hell, even UGA sucks on offense sans their running game. Tennessee is the only offensive threat in the East. Its pathetic.
