menzie was worse than milliner? Wasnt milliner the #3 CB for bama?

IMO yes, Milliner actually switched in and out with Menzie. Menzie started more, but Milliner played just as much.

We were third in the conference this year and return 10 starters. Bama will be good but they lose a ton. We will be a top 2 defense in the SEC this year. There really isn't any reason to think otherwise

Bama's back ups all played ALOT in blow outs, and we return 6 starters, plus we have a better staff for Defense. (Saban, Kirby)

What's the latest word on Freak Johnson?

Man-Child. He'll frick you up by just looking at you. I heard that he once killed a grizzly bear with one hand tied behind his back.

Tharold will be at worst 2nd team all SEC. He was 3rd in the sec in pbu and 5th in passes defended.

To say your D will absolutely be better than LSUs and Bamas is a bit premature.

LSU lined up and ran it down yalls throat in the second half of the SECCG game.

This is why I mentioned year three in the Todd Grantham system. LSU moved the ball in the second half because UGA's defense got tired. It was more a depth issue (and bad turnovers and special teams) that led to their demise. They should have much more depth in the 2012 season.

Letter grade system and in descending order within grade (2011 scoring defense rank in () ):

A - LSU (2), Alabama (1)
B - Georgia (17), SC (12)
C - Fla (25), State (19), Vandy (26), Tenn (37), Ark (39), Aub (84)
D - Missouri (47), Kentucky (57), A&M (80), Ole Miss (99)
F - None (every SEC team plays some defense)

I don't necessarily disagree, but why do you "have to"?

You're Missouri, not a big 6 school.

We'll see.

I'm just saying mizzou has had some great years but I don't think anyone would mistake them for a team that "has to be" better than anyone.

I agree with most of your list. LSU and 'Bama will simply reload and UGA will be improved. Those worried about LSU's two early departures on defense, needn't be. Simon, Jenkins, and Vinson will step in for Claiborne and do an adequate job. Mathieu will still see a lot of nickel time. On the Dline, Freak Johnson will explode on the scene with Brockers' departure, with ample help from Ego Ferguson, Josh Downs, Quinton Thomas and the stalwart Bennie Logan. The starting ends may both be All-Americans and the linebackers could be the best group in years.

True. We lost a lot on defense. And unless something miraculously clicks on offense it will be an even longer season than this past one. At least our QB situation will be better.

I'm not sure a Florida fan should be wishing coaches on anyone for life.

Depth was a HUGE issue with defense and OL and RB this past season with UGA. ALthough Boykin will be missed, getting everyone else back and adding good depth, especially if everyone stays healthier, will make a huge difference. Not having any semblance of a running game for the second half of the year really wore down the D as UGA couldn't control the clock even when they were up.

You're right. He will probably have an aneurism on the sidelines any season now.

Our D this past year was definitely better than A&M's. It probably won't be this season though.
