Arkansas has clones of their entire defense and still can't make the top5.

I'm slightly worried about the LSU secondary.

No more Mo Claiborne, Brandon Taylor, or Ron Brooks.

Cooper is a monster of DB coach and I'm sure that will still be a strong point on the team, but I think there will have to be major improvement at LB for LSU to be as good this year as they were last year.

Simon will have to step up and be a #1 corner, and someone else will have to step up at corner to allow TM7 to be in that nickel back spot that he excels in so well.

Our D line is good enough to keep us in the top half, we need some LB's and DB's to step it up though. Hoping the new coaches get it done

As long as LSU is at the top of that list I'm happy! (assuming we don't go 9-3) :bang head:

Yeah I think your secondary will be even with Bama's. Bama keeps Lester and Milliner, LSU keeps Taylor and Mathieu. Taylor is probably the worst of LSU's starting DBs this past season, imo (wasn't bad at all, just saying the worst, same goes for...), and DeQuan was probably Bama's worst. Tharold Simon isn't that great imo, seems he's about as good as Phelon Jones or Fulton, which is about average.

Taylor was a senior... we get back Mathieu, Simon and Reid... and Loston (S) played quite a bit as well.

It's possible, UGA should be pretty good on defense. Bama's defenses have been elite for quite a while despite changing personnel and there is no reason to think next year won't be similar. I think Alabama has been # 1 in total AND scoring defense in the SEC for three consecutive years.

Reasoning for putting us 5th, we upgraded our defensive staff tremendously, and I love what I saw in the bowl game.

I put USC 6th, because I'm very weary of Lorenzo Ward. Ellis Johnson was a great DC.
