Rhett has been there from the get go, and he has a hand in it, but with Gus on the hot seat I expect him to control a lot more during the game.

He was hired when Gus got the HC job.

And nobody knows for sure but he seems to get most of the blame when shite goes wrong. We've had differing reports on how much he calls or doesn't call. in '13 when Lashlee was a Broyles finalist, Gus was pushing that Lashlee was in control and does the game planning.

That is right, I forgot all about that. That makes things a little more confusing for Auburn fans.

Who's confused? We either win or we don't. That falls on our coaches and Rhett is OC so I blame him and Gus as HC.

They have to produce no matter who is calling the plays.

Whichever can run the best. Gus doesn't know how to run a college offense.

This thread is unecessary.

It is the 3rd year. Auburn signed a JuCo QB. He is unknown, has questionable passing skills but we all know he can run.

I wonder what will happen?

It doesn't really matter now but it would have last year, but you are right that Gus is ultimately responsible though.

Right about what? White will be the starting QB or that he will be great in his system? Not to sure what you are claiming. I don't think its a bold statement that he will be the starter.

White being the starter and best QB, or if Franklin starts that the offense is not meh

With the WRs Gus brought in, it's doubtful he sold them on a dual threat. So I would venture to say White is the man.

Even if he is the starter, it still will be difficult to say he was the best choice. If I had to bet who would be the starter for the 1st game I would probably bet on White as well.

Good point but hasn't Gus been able to bring in good WRs other years as well.

If I'm one of those WRs, I'd want White feeding me the ball. But who knows what those the coaches sold those guys when they were recruiting them? There was no way to know that Kodi Burns would be coaching/developing/training them 3 weeks ago when they signed the LOI.

Gus has made it clear he wants someone who can make dynamic plays from the QB position next year. He wants to get back to pace and the HUNH. He thought he could do it with JJ last season. , but JJ couldn't keep up with the game. White has a good arm, but is limited with his feet.

I can't think of one WR that Gus has put in the pro's that has done anything. Coates went 3rd round last year because of his abilities, not because Gus didn't anything spectacular with him. 10 years Gus has been in the college game and what happens to his WRs?
