Yeah. It's Auburn sidewalkers that give Bama fans their image.
No, it's whack jobs like you that give Auburn the little brother, more concerned with Alabama, convinced Alabama is the devil and Saban is a Satanic cheater image.

The usual suspects are here. Irons Puppet and Rabern57. Now all we need is Phan and Bowl Jackson.

I've never actually reviewed the details of that PayScale.com Salary "graph".
Alabama's data is based on :
- 36 people from Birmingham
- 10 people from Atlanta
- 8 people from Huntsville
- 6 people from Nashville
- 5 people from Tuscaloosa
LOL

I've seen the "House Divided" license plates with the A on 1 side and the AU on the other and the common thought is that the loyalty of the state's residents is divided. What would you guys guess is the percentage split? It can't be 50/50. I figure it's probably somewhere between 60/40 to 70/30 in Bama's favor. And was there a shift from the period from 2000 to 2007 when Bama was Auburn's crimson-headed step child?
I have lived in Alabama for a very long time, and as an outsider I think I have formed a pretty decent perspective on things.
First of all, one must understand that roughly 30-40% of even the state of Alabama does not care about college football. Birmingham consistently ranks as the top market in the United States (% speaking) for college football, and its not even close. Yet still there have only been a handful of times in which more than 50% of the households tuned in to watch any college football game. I think the highest rating I've ever seen was for the Auburn-Oregon National Title Game when the Birmingham market registered like a 70.0 rating.... which is insane, yet still 30% did not turn it on.
So if you take out all those folks who don't care a lick about football, then you can correctly proportion everybody else out of 100%. Here's what I would guess.
65%- Alabama fans
20%- Auburn fans
15%- Other fans
Of course the sampling changes depending on the area of the state. In the urban/suburban settings, its a bit closer to an even split. In the rural/small town areas (with the exception of the areas outside of Auburn), its very lop-sided in Alabama's favor.
I work in an office with around 30 people in it. Doing a quick sample of just my office, it actually splits like this:
45%- Alabama
35%- Auburn
20%- Other
Amazingly, every single Auburn fan has a degree from Auburn. Of the Alabama fans in my office, less than 30% have a degree from Alabama. Most have degrees from smaller schools in the South (Troy, Jax State, Samford, UAB, Georgia State, etc.). Every single one of the "other" fans moved to Alabama from another state.

I'm an Auburn fan and don't think this all. Saban is a great coach and Alabama is fortunate to have gotten him. He's successful anywhere. However, the state of Alabama as a whole is one of the poorest in regards to median household income and highest in poverty rates. These people seem to naturally gravitate towards Alabama football as some means of self-success in their own life. I know plenty of Bama grads, good successful people.

I wasn't saying all Auburn people, I was specifically saying people like Raybun (who admits it and revels in it). Just like we aren't all fat redneck welfare queens.

Those same people gravitate towards Auburn football, too. At about a 35% clip.

God almighty just a few minutes on Google and you can get the answer.
1. 37% are Bama fans
2. 18% are AU fans
3. 20% both Bama and AU
4. 22% neither
Sorry to burst your "bandwagon" cliche but these numbers were virtually identical in 2004 right after au went undefeated and Bama had a garbage season
LINK
Also, the difference between "sidewalk" and alum is about the same at both schools

You do not find AU fans supporting Milton. He has very similar traits to Bear Bryant Jr.

I realize this is a sensitive subject for Auburn fans. Being that they've worked so hard to create this false image that their fan base is morally superior to everyone else and they're one of the few fan bases that sticks through thick and thin. When someone is quick to point out this delusional blather, they'll do what they're best at and deflect and make it about Alabama. It's hard for them to realize that they actually didn't go to Auburn; that it's just a myth that 95% of their fan base drove through Auburn and picked up an associates degree.
Your fans are fairweather, most of you are pretentious narcissistic douche bags, Auburn isn't Harvard of the South, your constant obsession with everything that pertains to Alabama is miserable, Auburn isn't a 'clean' program, and Alabama is your daddy.
Maybe this will cheer your day up: Alabama fans take over Jordan Hare
