It's hard being a moral and true Auburn man in an evil world of Bammers. Stay strong little feller and repeat to yourself the Auburn creed by which you live.

One day Saban will retire and it will get better....maybe.

red after the hiring of Saban and increased after the first NC. Alabama's time in the wilderness after Stallings seemed to quiet the hardcore "roll tide motherfricker!" crowd down a fair amount. Just my experience.

Pretty much agree with this. It's pretty bad now, I regularly see entire families decked out in Alabama apparel when they're out to eat, shopping, grocery store etc. That's fine and all but the apparel is usually accompanied with a smug attitude like they have personally been instruments of Alabamas football success of late.

Saban says that fans are an important part of the success of the program. We believe it dammit!

It's called being a "fan".....a trait fans of successful teams typically exhibit. Try getting out of Lee County once and awhile and traveling to other areas of the country that also have successful sports teams. You will notice this same phenomenon

Yeah. It would be nice to just sit around bumming off the government and Auburn fans tax dollars instead of working. Just saying Bama won a NC when someone tells you to get off the couch and do something with your life. Then run pat each other on the back when someone brings you back to reality for a minute. Then just say they are just jealous because Bama won something and it not you. It's no wonder the Bama fanbase is getting bigger.

Saban isnt doing anything but tainting the record books and making the Bama fans even more unstable.

The usual Cult members have come out in numbers to support their fellow members. Here are some observations from watching the Bammers over the years.

1. Their self-worth is dependent on how the football team performs. During the good years they beat their chest and look down their noses at other programs. During the down years they beat their chest and look down their noses at other programs based on previous years success.
2. They talk about the class of the program and their fans, yet they defend the Logan Young's of the world and wink at the actions of Updyke, T-Bagger and Moma Wrecking Ball. Every fanbase has some bad fans, but there is not another program that has fans who misbehave in the Schools name.
3. They spend their expendable income buying Bama products. From t-shirts, hats, dresses, jerseys to artwork. It is universal with all their fans, from the lowest redneck to Doctors and Lawyers.

Moreover, until recently, Auburn professionals are more likely to leave the state than Alabama professionals. I do think that is changing somewhat, though.

When your alma mater has been on a steady mission to increase out of state enrollment for years now, that will happen. UA's current student population is close to 65% OOS - so those graduates will more than likely leave the state to pursue their professional careers.

Everyone remembers pre-game warm ups? try harder.

ETA: I mean you can still see how much time is left until kick off on the scoreboard.

You're a great example of many bammers mindset. Their view of their own success rides heavily upon the success of Alabama football.

And this is exhibit A in what Auburn's equivalent of the Bammer sidewalker looks like. Petty, tin-foil hat wearing hysterics on aisle 1.

Yeah. It's Auburn sidewalkers that give Bama fans their image. You have to give them props for convincing the entire rest of the nation.

Lil brother seems upset with this thread. Was there any doubt which AU posters would be driving the bus?

Hell of a survey there. A whole 2-3 people per job and 0 for others. Very scientific.
