What indeed. Ok TJ, you figured it out, AJ Johnson and Mike Williams were co-conspirators in the 9/11 attacks.

It was quite simple to pull off really, all Jones had to do was have explosives planted in the base of the towers, then on 9/11, they pretended like 4 planes were being hijacked when really we just rerouted them to Pennsylvania then flew 2 military jets into the World Trade Centers filled with more explosives then shot all the witnesses of flight 93 with an F15 after blowing up the Pentagon with a cruise missile. It was only the world's most intricate and flawlessly executed plan, ever, ever.

And they would have gotten away with it too, if not for you meddling kids.

Did these alleged cover-ups stop the players involved from being suspended immediately and investigated?

Uhhh. It's not the suspension from the fricking team that's the issue here. It's the obstruction of justice of the police investigation of felony rape that's the issue. You moron.

It's likely that your head football coach committed a felony. And there are phone records to prove it.

It's a felony to receive a phone call?

I believe they're talking about Jones calling AJ after talking to the police

He lied that's a fact.
quote:

Cell phone records show that throughout the day — before and after police first made contact with Johnson — Jones was in regular contact with Johnson, placing or receiving six phone calls to or from his player. Jones’ cell phone records list no calls to or from Williams that day — or at any point in the following two-week span of phone logs requested by The Tennessean.

quote:

Eight days after police launched their investigation, Jones was asked specifically if he had conversations with the two players about the investigation

“I have not had any dialogue at all,” Jones said. “Again we’re letting the investigation take care of itself. And that’s all I’ll say.”

Why not just say you did?

A very crucial part that you continue to willfully ignore.

No. It's called Obstruction of Justice. And it's a felony. Even in Tennessee.

So he called AJ 6 times to see how his day was? Is that what you're claiming because calling AJ 2 minutes after hanging up with the PD says otherwise. Why would he call directly after hanging up with the PC and have an asst call Williams 20 minutes later if he wasn't going to talk about the case?

Seriously. When talking about a head football coach calling his players to obstruct justice in the face of a rape investigation....and then lying about it. You may be rolling around laughing.

But no one else is.

Just think for a moment what some of you Vol fans are saying. Yes the police messed up and will be punished. But realize what Butch did. Let me put it in a scenario most of you can relate to- Dog the Bounty Hunter. Dog calls up Tanya (Butch) and says,"Hey, don't tell them, but for your planning purposes I am looking for your employees (football players) because they haven't paid up (they raped people). Tanya says "Oh thanks, I won't say anything and I'll make sure to take them off the schedule." 5 seconds after hanging up Tanya calls the employees and says, "Listen, keep your mouths shut and contact this top notch lawyer, he'll take care of this."

That's your freaking football coach. You are defending Tanya. A man who knowingly lessened the chances of Rapists getting the full extent of justice. Brick by Brick - rape by rape.

I don't know, maybe to tell him to not show up to practice and to cooperate with police

I mean, I wouldn't want cops showing up to practice to question my players, especially with media lurking around snapping pictures and what not.

I guess that obvious and logical explanation didn't occur to you. Nah, it's much more likely that he called AJ to tell him to hide evidence and risk his multi million dollar career by obstructing an investigation.

Nevermind the fact that it would have been piss poor attempt at obstruction, considering what the cops found at the apartment.

That's so absurd, that even you know it's a fantasy. And that's saying a lot.

So this is Butch's fault how?

It wasn't.....

...But him calling the accused immediately after that phone call is what (potentially) tainted the investigation.

Brick by Brick...

Actually, it's the most logical explanation. The fantasy that you cooked up in your mind and continue to jerk your dick to, is what's absurd.

Link anything you want, while it's common sense why this is a huge issue and a major red flag, they aren't going to get it. Any objective person can clearly see how even if this was one isolated incident, it was a major issue. You can't have police tipping off alleged criminals through a third party prior to investigating. Even if Jones did absolutely nothing wrong, it puts him in a terrible position. This falls squarely on the KPD for gross incompetence at best, and yes, conspiracy at worst. The police calling Butch after picking the players up would be a professional courtesy, calling him hours and hours before doing their investigation is possibly criminal, as to the quote I cited from the Assistant DA earlier in the thread. Every coach has a working relationship with the local police, but that relationship does not include being notified hours before an alleged crime by his players is investigated.
