Pete Carroll a better college coach than Barry Switzer.

They are very comparable.

1) Good team in a weak conference. Check.
2) College stars who flopped in the NFL. Check.
3) Cheated in order to get college stars. Check.
4) Won a single championship, then claimed a dynasty. Check.

At least the Big 8 had Nebraska with Osborne back then.
And Switzer won 3 national titles.

The Oakland Raiders aren't the same "shite team" they have been, and Amari Cooper lead the NFL in drops his first season (18). Besides, I wasn't comparing their first years.

ETA: Reggie Bush had 1,300 yards from scrimmage and 8 touchdowns, bro.

Why do people bring up MNCs with Saban? No coach in history has gotten to play for a MNC after every 1 loss season.

-Carroll had 2 1 loss seasons didn't get to play for the championship either time

-Bowden has like 6 or 7 1 loss seasons and only got to play for the championship 3x

Getting the opportunity to play for a championship after 1 loss seasons is really luck/favoritism. Nothing to do with coaching

2003 and 2004 are obvious. But 2008? That's the Big 12's fault. Their asinine tie breaker rule made it worse.

Haha seriously. It isn't the BCS' fault that the Big XII can't figure out which team they want to say is the best team in their league. The BCS basically said "Big XII, you get to have a representative in the title game" and the Big XII was like derrrrrrrrrrrrrrr errr derrrrrrrrrr

USC had a 12-point lead in the 4th quarter. His point is valid.

Alabama had a 7 point lead on Auburn with the ball on their 17 with 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter in 2013.

Guess we can count that one as a win too.

Neither were. Vince Young and Todd Gurley both won the award during the rookie years of the aforementioned players.
