Someone on the Alabama home-board (taylormade ) was whining about Colin Cowherd. He claimed that Alabama's dynasty under Saban is 2007-2016 "BORING" compared to USC's under Pete Carroll 2001-2009.

USC dynasty gets the edge at QB for sure. But the Alabama dynasty blasts them in the arse in every other area and is showing no sign of slowing down any time soon.

The USC "dynasty" produced only one BCS National Championship in the 00s.

They consistently lost to teams they had no business losing to.

Pete Carroll is a turd in the cesspool of living organisms. Saban is a hardworking man, I can respect him. Carroll is a cheat

Ole Miss was a Top 10 team in 2015 and Texas A&M was a Top 5 team in 2012. Those types of teams can beat you on any given Saturday.

No. I'm talking about teams like the 2007 Stanford Cardinals, a team that finished 4-8 that year but somehow managed to beat the Trojans.

Do you know that both were DB in college? Do you know Coach Carroll played against LSU in Tiger Stafium when he played for Pacific University? Do you know Coach Saban coached for LSU?

Damn both items were a LONG time ago

and they cheated, had a title and Heisman stripped.

Huge advantage to the machine.

You should do a comparison of Lyle vs Saban.

You do realize Carroll was fired like twice in the NFL before finding success? Saban stayed two years and got out.

He also had several years as a top DC and DB coach with the Oilers and Browns. It seems people always forgot this. And assume his disasterous tenure in Miami was it.

But who cares? He wasn't a good NFL head coach. But he's the best damn college head coach of his generation.

How much credit does Carroll get for creating a lack of institutional control by opening up Hollywood to their campus to create a rock star atmosphere for recruiting. And of course the wining and dining of players from around the country. Good to see the NCAA shut down that charade and watch Carroll book it as fast as he could out of town.

December 2013
quote:

"I think he's going to be a nightmare," Cowherd said of Malzahn. "I am amazed that Alabama fans aren't concerned about Gus Malzahn."

"Nick is not great off the rails or against unpredictable coaches," Cowherd said. "He has more trouble with quirky than substantial. He'll go toe to toe with substantial. So I think Malzahn is built to give Nick trouble."

"I want all you Alabama fans, who love Finebaum and hate me, to know," Cowherd said. "Right now, you're driving around and I'm here to tell you that you're going to start to lose to Gus Malzahn.

"Next year, Auburn's going to be better than Alabama. Auburn is going to go into Tuscaloosa and beat Alabama. They're going to beat Florida State. They're going to win back-to-back national titles."

May 2015
quote:

“They return two offensive starters, they don’t know who their quarterback is. Their secondary, despite Nick’s brilliant secondary coaching, lost their best player and I don’t love it. And they have to replace their three best wide receivers. Well, they’re recruiting classes are good. So were LSU’s. When you’re bad at quarterback, you’re not a special football team. Also, in their conference, on their schedule, LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, A&M and Tennessee will all be better. Phyllis, I am sorry, Alabama is not a top-five team this year.”

July 2015
quote:

"It’s just got too many good teams. Alabama doesn’t have a quarterback, you can’t go into this year with no quarterback in that conference. You’re not going to win 12 games, you’re out of your mind."

"Alabama’s schedule is the toughest college schedule I have ever seen in my life. I have never seen a college schedule that tough. Ever. Auburn’s no day at the beach, that’s extreme. First week of October to first week of December it’s like 8 teams that could be ranked. Come on! Half of them on the road. You’re not going to beat all these teams."

“It’s just got too many good teams. Alabama doesn’t have a quarterback, you can’t go into this year with no quarterback in that conference. You’re not going to win 12 games, you’re out of your mind.

Post-Ole Miss 2015
quote:

"It's over. They'll win a bunch of games. It's over."

"Michigan State (there are better programs out there than Alabama)"

Yea, Cowherd is all over it.
