the tsips will NEVER join the SEC

Hoepfully the SEC brass is smart enough to never let them join. They destroyed the XII with their selfish, bullying ways and would try to take over the SEC as well. A&M serves their goals in the state of Texas quite nicely.

As for Kansas... They're a one sport university that would bring nothing to the SEC Network. The addition of Missouri brought southern Illinois and eastern Kansas eyeballs anyway.

No, the best thing the SEC could do is work to completely marginalize the XII in Texas and Kansas by setting up events in Dallas and Kansas City that don't include XII schools. Things like an SEC-B1G Challenge with Missouri vs Nebraska at Arrowhead and an SEC-Pac-12 Challenge between Texas A&M and The USC, UCLA or Oregon at Jerry World.

Otherwise any further expansion should come from the states of North Carolina and Virginia.

Actually, 14 is either too many or not enough. Either 16 makes sense or 12 does, never 14.

The sec doesn't need more power football school's like OU, Texas or FSU. THey could use 2 new eastern market school's so Missouri could shift to the west.

Not no but absolutely HELL NO.

OU has a poor recruiting base and has to poach out of other states to get by.

What I stated was add two or substract two. 14 does not make any sense at all. But if expanding we have too many ho hum matchups now - bring the power or cut two teams.

Tough question. Ark and SoCar were only added because FSU and Miami were scared to join. Probably the last two but in all reality, conferences are expanding and the SEC will have to play along.

I dodged the question - SoCar and either one of the last two, no preference.

I agree with you on South Carolina. They should be kicked to the curb.

But that second one, why not just split the difference and let Arkansas go.

They're a better cultural fit in the XII and were used to being Texas' slap nuts anyway.

OU will not come to the SEC and have to compete with Bama, LSU, Auburn, etc. every year.

Not true at all. ACC had just cut a huge basketball deal and FSU wanted a slice. It was also during FSU power football and the Seminoles knew it was the easiest way possible to stay high in the football poles and have at shot nearly every year at at the MNC.

Yes it is. The SEC did not expand with SoCar and Arky in mind.

Which is why I think a CNS to Texas is so important, as his life's last great work, to restore UT, help stabilize Big-12, UT vs OU, stem ATM's in-state rise, and help influence the disease that is 7-on-7 Flagball upon Texas High School Football back to some Smashmouth.

14 works fine, especially if you go to 9 conference games. The record TV ratings from the last couple years show this. Several schools have kicked of stadium expansion projects, so average conference attendance records will also soon be shattered.

It's not about getting to 16, it's about sitting back and waiting for a blue chip to apply. Slive said something like this a few months ago when asked about future expansion.

False. 14 makes just as much sense as any other even number. You have two divisions... one championship game. Why people fail to see that 14 is just fine, I'll never know.
