And out of nowhere came Urban Meyer. The bigger question is if they take Kirby Smart, will Muschamp to to Bama as DC????

Maybe I'm off base, but I've never really trusted people who do shite like that.

Mullen to Florida. It's obvious at this point.

Not really. Flordia is one of the top jobs in the country. You can recruit there and it pays pretty well. I'm still not sure how Muschamp hasn't been able to recruit, even Zook recruited well at Florida.

This is a myth. Or it depends on your definition of "great". According to this, Muschamp is tied for 30th nationally and is behind both Freeze and Mullen.

Dan Mullen. Book it.

Florida is a Top 3 job in America.
Dan Mullin has to be the overwhelming favorite to be the next Florida Head Coach.
Enjoy this year. I love your team. It will be a long time before you see another one like it.

If they land a home run hire, they'll pay him likewise. Billy Donovan is the highest paid public employee in Florida and the 6th highest paid college basketball coach. And that's frickin basketball.

You would have to be desperate to take that job right now.
Stupid stupid stupid
You're in the center of some of the most fertile recruiting territory in the US, you get 4 mil a year and a 5 million dollar buyout... All you have to do is make a bowl in year two... So basically 3-5 in the conference and you're bowl eligible.. On top of that, you're in the SEC Georgia division so you don't get Bama, AU and Ole Miss every year (say what you want, but we kinda own the Gators) ... You get to work for one of the most accomplished ADs in the entire NCAA... On top of all that, you live a few hours from the beach where you have your own little bungalow you bought straight cash.... I'll stop kicking you now before the police show up.

If he was a better coach he would get paid more. He wasn't going to get a high salary simply for being the UF coach.

I think UF makes a run at somebody like Jim Mora jr or Mike Gundy. They should make Art Briles say no first.

If they land a home run hire
All that sounds good...but who would you consider a "home run" worth, say, $5M a year? Because anything less than $5M and you're just gonna end up getting people nice raises to stay where they are.

UF has one of, if not the best, compliance office in the country. If we were worried about him he probably wouldn't be a target to begin with.

Which begs the question...why didn't you hire a better coach??? It wasn't like Meyer left you after spring practice, or even right before NSD like Kiffin. You hired Muschamp a week after the SECCG.
Now, suddenly, everything's gonna be different?

I'm not sure if you're serious or just parodying people who would say something like that.

In all fairness to Foley, he was pretty well thought of and most seemed to think the hire was a good one. He had a ton of SEC experience, worked under many great coaches and appeared to be a guy just waiting for his shot.
