Coach Bryant had full power over the program too so it has been done before. Big money men might run the barn football program but that doesn't mean it happens at Bama slick. And why is a barner giving history lessons and confirming unsubstantiated rumors anyway?

Dumbass,Dye brought the Bryant Model with him when he came to AU. The support and payment system were identical at the two programs. It is not discussed or advertised, but those close to both programs know how it was done. That is why I laughed when some dumbass claimed that Wayne Hall was the bagman.

The big money people had unfettered access to the players and it was expected. Saban put an end to that from the beginning.

Texas A&M has the resources to be the SEC "1-A" and make Bama work for the West every year like LSU did prior to 2011...

That's so cute, I thought the aggies were always the ones with dirty knees. It seems it is a reciprocal relationship.

Alabama lucked into a coach who wrote the "how to win" playbook and everybody just ignores it.

Compare/contrast Mal Moore's relentless pursuit of Nick Saban with whatever the hell that effort was that Joe Alleva exhibited after firing Les. Say what you want, but there was no "luck" in Moore's hiring of Nick.

How did that book work out for y'all dumb arse Gumps before Saban got there? The playbook is called Saban you stupid arse! God I swear at times I wish an Atomic bomb would be dropped right on y'all redneck asses!

Do we really have time to discuss 8 undefeated seasons, 21 SEC Championships, 4 SoCon Championships and multiple past national championships. IDK I suppose we did pretty good before Saban and are doing even better now.

Saban was the right person at the right time in his career. He could have had similar success at several other programs. Most college coaches are softies, Saban is not.

Everyone just realizes there isn't much they can do when the NCAA president himself is helping Bama cheat. All it will get them is in trouble with the NCAA. You beat them and the NCAA comes running (hence Ole Miss).

There should be a committee where every school is represented instead of a president and handful of specially picked judges. Then Bama will be an average sec school just like before him.
