They're not even trying.

1. Auburn is still hanging onto Gus after years of proof of his incompetence.

2. Texas A&M should have fired Sumlin after the 2015 QB diarrhea.

3. LSU hires a cajun Elmer Fudd that had a shoddy record as Ole Miss HC. At least he fits the culture.

How is Chip Kelly or Tom Herman not in the SEC? Herman was a perfect fit for TAMU and Kelly at LSU would have the entire college football world scared.

Alabama wrote the "how to win" playbook and everybody just ignores it.

I hate to, but I agree completely!

After this years opener, you may be able to add Jimbo to the list.

I think Dabo is perfect for the ACC where you have two good opponents each year. If he loses two or more games with an SEC schedule, the fans will eat him alive.

Face it, Clemson has had two game each year that equates to SEC upper level teams. Even last year, AU held their own playing 5 QBs. If they beat FSU? they will make the playoff most years.

I didn't watch the games live, but after watching ESPNs Top25 Countdown Replays I have to say that Clemson was lucky as hell to get to the Championship last year. L'Ville, Pitt,FSU, & NC State all coulda/shoulda beat CU.

Is there a contest among Bama fans to see who can make the most idiotic, self-congratulatory post?

If so, you are the early leader for today.

What exactly are "SEC Upper Level Teams" outside of Alabama? Clemson has beaten Alabama, Ohio State (2x), Florida State (2x), Auburn (2x), South Carolina (3x), Notre Dame, Georgia, Oklahoma (2x) and LSU since 2012.

Again, when you have to get up for two games per year it is easy to have a shinny resume. Most years it is the wear and tear of an SEC schedule that gets teams.

As average as AU was last year, they were ranked 9th in the country before playing UGA and Bama. If they could have played Clemsons last three game they are probably in the Playoff.

What coaches would you rank ahead of Dabo Swinney in college football today, Iron Puppets?

Also, who are the other "upper level" SEC teams (besides Alabama) right now that are superior to the "upper level" ACC teams (Florida State, Clemson)?

And do you think the middle of the pack of the SEC (Arkansas, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Georgia, Tennessee) is better than the middle of the pack of the ACC (Virginia Tech, North Carolina, NC State, Pitt, Miami, Louisville)? Because I don't. It is, at best, a draw.

No argument from me. Our A.D. (rightfully) fired the head coach two months early, but settled for the d-line coach who was an abysmal failure at Ole Miss and who USC wouldn't hire as full-time coach. Nothing says "I give up" like that.

It is all about fit. Dabo is great at Clemson, but will be eaten alive at Bama. There are some great college coaches out there that are good fits at their schools, others have issues due to their locations. I still think there are PTB that are dormant waiting for Saban to leave. I think the best chance for continued success is from the Pro ranks.

I used to think that but I think the next coach has to be confident in his process and his process needs to be different than Saban.

It doesn't matter because I don't think Dabo is leaving Clemson.
